I am good with this.
The Punisher is one of the more interesting 2nd tier marvel characters. Much more so than daredevil, Jessica Jones or Luke Cage IMO.
Bernthal was awesome in the role IMO. Shows the fragile mental state of the punisher and his warped views well.
I don't like that he bested Daredevil multiple times in hand to hand combat however. Outsmart DD? Ok cool. Beat him throwing hands? No way

i hope not. i do always love his character though. complete wild card.
his last shot in the Civil War comics where he just kills 2 bad guys in cold blood and let's captain beat his arse with no resistance was a great scene.

Punisher was one of the five comics I had a subscription to as a kid
(DD,Spectacular Spider-Man,Cap,The Avengers were the others)
I'm kind of hoping Frank moves out of NYC in this Netflix series to LA....then be drawn back to New York later.

i was mainly an xmen kid. but when wolverine teamed up with punisher, ghost rider, spiderman, or whoever, it always made me buy a few of their issues.
awesome/sad story: i still have an issue where my letter to the writer was published in the back of a wolverine issue.

the punisher ruined the daredevil series.
he's so awesome, and juxtaposed one another, daredevil just looked like some poof nancing around the neighborhood.

Garth Ennis made this extremely easy with the MAX series.
Just follow those graphic novels and we will have some mighty fine television.

My year with the Punisher was when he was in WitSec and underwent a skin graph to be black and started hanging with Luke Cage

How awesome would it be if they started out with Born?
Edit: Obviously it would be in Afghanistan/Iraq sometime in the past decade instead of early 70s Vietnam.

Stoked about this. Bernthal as Frank Castle was so incredible that he stole the show in Daredevil.
