I love the show, but Baloo is right about the characters. For the most part, they're all terrible people.
Burt, Peggy, Ginsberg and Stan are offended by your statement.

Yea, Ken Cosgrove is a monster.

I think you are throwing the term "terrible people" out a little loose. Yes, most have some issues, but I don't know if any of the main characters, besides maybe Pete, is a "terrible person".
I could make a case that Joan, Peggy, Bert, Lane, Ginsberg, Stan, Cosgrove, Roger, Dawn, and Megan are actually good people. Everybody has vices and does immoral things. That doesn't make you inherently terrible.
What TV show in history is full of great people that sit around and never do anything wrong? Would be a pretty horrible show.

Uhh ... Don??? The guy is a walking tire fire who lives on the mantra that nothing really matters. He literally is trying not to have a soul.

Finally watched last week's episode. That may have been my favorite of the entire series.

Don is mentally fricked by his childhood and identity change. I truly believe at his core he is a good person even though this season he has been at his worst. Remember Anna Draper?
He is extremely complex and a complete a-hole pretty often, but I really don't believe he is a horrible person.

Finally watched the episode. Just fantastic. Was dying when Cosgrove described seeing his science teacher not "work a slide ruler".
I get Peggy's disappointment. She wants to prove herself away from Don. Now she's back under his wing again. That said, she needs to DWI.
Watching Ted, Don, and Roger in action this episode was golden. Loved it and look forward to more of it post-merger.

Episode was great.
Seems like every year Mad Men lulls you into early season low expectations and then finally cranks up and awakens from its slumber.
I used to not like these "move the story along" episodes...they seemed uncharastically rushed. Now I look forward to them. Perhaps the slow-pace of Mad Men is finally wearing out its welcome with me.

A late bump, but I finally got around to this on the DVR. Holy hell, the last ten mins was crazy. When Don is rolling, don is Rolling.
I get Peggy being upset, but I think she'll do okay. I'm interested to see her and Dons relationship going forward now that they both have seen the other side.

Just watched it
Can someone explain the logistics of the merger to me? Are Don & Roger's share in the company a majority?
And obviously Don briefed Roger on his and Ted's plan going in? That was just implied.
