I seriously doubt he can bribe Hurley successfully. Even if he does do a good job, Jacob can be right beside him giving him a better counterpoint. And even though he has great luck in the alternate timeline, I seriously doubt he can bribe him with that. He's got a great relationship with his family in the original, is rich, and I don't see what you can bribe him with. The only thing I can think of is maybe he is dating Libby in the alternate timeline (very possible since they were both in the mental institution in the original)?

when sun looked in the mirror before opening the door, she noticed the bruise on her head that she just got from running into the tree, and thats why she can understand english in the alt timelines and can't speak it
