with Michael Douglas.
Quite possibly the greatest black comedy? Was this intentional?

Great job by MD.
Although everyone who likes this movie claims to relate to an aerospace engineer who threatens his family.

I love this movie and I don't fall into that category.

Great film. It's almost hard to believe the same guy that directed this brought us the failed abortion known as Batman & Robin only a few years later.

Very good movie. I love a good descent into madness movie. Michael Douglas nails the part.

I've never seen this movie. The marketing for it just turned me off. It had nothing for me. I was just in HS at the time though.

Probably because everyone has thought of snapping at some point.

I feel like every scene is gold.
The convenience store scene at the beginning sets the tone for the rest of the movie. So awesome.
Mexican Gang Scene
"What do you call that?"
"Graffiti?"

Gang Member #1: No man, that's not fricking graffiti. That's a sign.
Gang Member #2: He can't read it man.
Gang Member #1: I'll read it for you. It says this is fricking private property. No fricking trespassing. This means fricking you.
Bill Foster: It says all that?
Gang Member #1: Yeah.
Bill Foster: Well, maybe if you wrote it in fricking English, I could fricking understand it.

Duvall plays a great part to. As always.
I like the exchange at the end. Something like, "nah. Guys like you always know exactly what they want!"

It was absolutely intentional. Great movie. Frederic Forrest played the nazi storeowner, unrecognizable from other roles like Chef in Apocalypse Now and Blue Duck in Lonesome Dove. That's guy's practically a chameleon.

It was an excellent foray into an everyday working man finally reacting in the most vociferous manner to the amalgamation of everyday life annoyances. The character acted out in a way that a lot of people think about doing in the deepest reaches of the mind but ultimately do not because of reason. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable to see someone follow through with those notions in a movie.

I don't have much to add other than I liked it.

Douglas' acting was sharp and they really did a great job of making him look goofy.
They took the guy we were all trying to look like, and made him look pitiful.
Did everyone have someone in their office that reminded them of Douglas' Falling Down guy like I did?

Came here to post about him. He was amazing. I was watching Lonesome Dove a few weeks ago and it took me a while to figure out why Blue Duck was so familiar.

We once had a guy that reminded me of him, but then I broke all the mirrors.

That.
When I was younger, I felt like snapping sometimes like Foster.
Then I married someone much like Prendergast's wife, and I related a whole lot more to him.
