I'm only 5 episodes in but the more I watch of these kids the more blown away by how little of a shite some of these guys give. DJ Law last year and Kam Carter this year have NFL talent but barely have the discipline to get out of bed in the mornings.
I want to root for all of these guys because they do seem to be decent kids at heart who have had to deal with some rough situations in life, but it's so hard when they won't even help themselves.
With that said I'm really rooting hard for De'andre Johnson and Dakota Allen. Those guys really get it and seem to have put their pasts behind them.

There will always be kids like that.
They're products of the system. They have struggles learning, they get told they're dumb and worthless and to rely on football. They succeed at football, everyone praises them and therefore they think they're only good at football and become lazy pieces of shite
Now, that's not all of them, because I'm sure some of them have trouble actually learning but Law and Kam certainly do not. They're smart as frick but choose to be lazy

That's because a lot of them play football as a means of an escape. They view it as a launchpad out of a bad situation.
Kams situation a mix of multiple things. But like some people here. I agree that he does have a shite personality.

I'm happy that Brittany Wagner moved on. You could tell that she loved and cared for each of those football players like they were her own sons, but that job was clearly wearing her down big time.
Also, I got the feeling that she didn't have a very high opinion about Buddy Stephens. They were never even on camera at the same time at all this season.
Speaking of Buddy Stephens...I think the low point of his season was when he tried to get Chauncey's mother kicked out of that game. What a snowflake moment. You can just tell that he doesn't actually care to get close or help these players. He just wants to win. It is junior college Coach, get over yourself. It says a lot when there were numerous players on air negatively talking about the coach.

Some of them get it more than others. The Tech Linebacker I think is someone that sees the benefit of the getting a degree.
I feel bad for the Isiah Wright's that think they are going to the NFL.

There's no way he was being considered for the head job at ULM. Viator has only been there one season (just his first when this was filmed) and he appears to have them headed in the right direction, though it is a long road.

I think Buddy was one of the top reasons why Wagner moved from EMCC. I don't think we'll ever know all of the reasons. But Wagner didn't belong in Scooba for a long period of times. She's way too bright and caring to have to deal with someone like Buddy for years and ywars

D-1 schools aren't interested in players from losing JUCO teams.

I've been stuck in a dead end job in a small town, employers just don't take you seriously. Even when it was Baton Rouge to Houston, my experience was met with a "meh"
I can imagine before this series that any job she applied for was met with little interest

You could tell at a certain point in the season that Dakota and DeAndre both deserved a second chance. Isaiah and Ollie both needed the same thing from Buddy and just some support from their coach. Buddy was all about Isaiah early in the season but when he got hurt he completely changed. Buddy still wants another season of last chance u but the way the show ended it doesn't seem like it would happen. Outside of the DL coach everybody else left Buddy and they didn't focus on much of the other staff. No way can they recreate the magic of the first two seasons again. It was a perfect storm with a coach that is easy to hate and people around him that kept that program together. Wagner was the star of the show and they can't replace her.

He should stop being a dick to the film crew first.

I don't get the hate for Ollie. He grew up on the arse end of society, had he mom murdered by his father who then committed suicide in front of him and he is black bumfrick mississippi. God forbid he has developmental issues.

I cheer for EMCC to lose every game they play. Nobody is likeable.

With the OC resigning I guess he's no longer the head coach in waiting?

Agree with all of this

What exactly is your point?
What I was saying is that Buddy didn't strike me as the type to praise Wagner for keeping his players on track while in Scooba. She's the glue that kept this Community Colleges football team academically &I emotionally together. In the two seasons this series has been around. We've never seen Buddy once visit her office or mention anything about her. Meanwhile the position coaches are keeping track of dudes while in her office. At a program like LSU or USC, I don't expect the HC to be in constant contact with the academic officer. But in a place like EMCC it should be the norm.

Yeah, the Ollie/Kam compares are bit outlandish. Outside of the fact that both of them needed to be pushed towards success and getting out of Scooba. Kam's issues still strike me as unresolved. But that dude seems to have no respect for others. Even when given every chance.
It's funny how Buddy looked out for Kam and talked to him in a calm manner. He very rarely did that to Ollie in S1. Which this goes back to what Isiah Wright said about Buddy in the finale.
