Started the first episode. More of the same. Ms. Wagner doing the work for the kids and subtitles in order to understand the players.

Watched 3 episodes today. The HC is clearly trying to change his demeanor. We'll see if it lasts.
I'm not really impressed with the team as a whole yet. The qb from Fla St (who hit the chick) seems like a great kid despite what he did. He's been great off the field and good on the field.
More of the same is definitely not incorrect regarding the show as a whole.

Absolutely asinine that the QB was suspended for the first game because of the fight last season. He was in the damn press box and not even on the team at that point

It has a different vibe from the last season, and I think that is due to everything that transpired with the fight. I actually liked seeing all the school stuff etc, on the 5th episode and so far a lot of that has been sliced out of the show. My thing is why not just stretch it out to 12 episodes and include all the off the field stuff. I think they are doing the show a disservice only giving it 8 episodes a season.

Don't know how far you are, but they mention that he was actually redshirted that year. He still wasn't even practicing w/ the team though, so it's still BS.

Think about how much they covered off field crap last season and didn't even gloss over that kids story. Man they have some characters on this show, not all good.

I didn't mean "more of the same" in a bad way. My mistake if it came across that way.
I'm loving it now. Especially the end of that 1st episode when the kids rallied together and came back despite the adversity. Not gonna lie, that got me a little misty. That kind of stuff always gets me.

Yeah I think they should keep doing the show for another season or 2 and then move to a different school. Disappointing to hear the school stuff isn't as big a part of the show as it was last year. But I also get why they try to stay out of their personal lives and stuff.
Also, halfway through episode 1 and Buddy isn't cussing as much. Pretty disappointed by that
