The one thing that I'm not liking is the fact that it's a family horror. I'm not sure what the hell that means, but I guess it's like Gremlins with more horror. I really hope there are deaths in this though

I don't know if there are deaths but "some children meet a grisley fate."
I wouldn't expect it to be too hardcore. It's more of a creepy fairytale then anything else.
It is supposed to be very similar to gremlins.

Just got back and I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. If you enjoyed Trick r' Treat then you will enjoy Krampus
Gremlins is pretty good comparison. There is a good bit of violence just not a lot of blood and gore.
The costumes and practical effects are great

Saw it and also loved it, my wife did also.
"Family Horror" makes sense. A few jump scares, but nothing too bad. Fun throughout the whole movie. I laughed a lot too.

It really was a lot of fun. Multiple scenes put a big smile on my face

Overall good movie. Definitely a cabin in the woods type movie. The ending was really good.

As far as it being a family friendly movie, Devin at birthmoviesdeath.com had this to say...

Take this as a warning or a recommendation: these monster designs will frick up your younger children. They will frick them up hard.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend the younger kids see this one. 9 and up should be fine IMO.

How was Krampus? Did they do a good job on how it looks? Is it true to legend as it has been described?

I don't know...haven't seen it yet.

It was good. I thought the ending was a little grizzly for my taste and some of the horror felt a little cheap but it was definitely fun. The first half was great and that isn't quite sustained in the second half.

I liked the Mummy. It was a pretty good series.

I'm about to go catch this movie in a couple of hours. Expecting good things.

What does Krampus the creature look like? Do you actually get to see the face?
