Took my little boy to see it. Better then the 1st one imo. He loved it. There is one scene where Pixar was able to make old stock footage of Doc Hudson look so real it was creepy. Damn movie gotta standing ovation when it was over.

A short named Lou before the movie is solid as well.

Not legit if you didn't say you cried. That's what everyone says about Pixar movies.

I'll forgive Pixar for Cars because that's how they finance actual great movies, which Coco looks to be: LINK

Took my two boys as well this afternoon and they both loved it. I felt it kinda dragged in the middle but was a lot better than Cars 2. I still like Cars 1 better though.

They showed the preview for CoCo and I thought it looked like crap. I think Disney knows this as well as they are having to advertise a Frozen short that will play with CoCo to draw ticket sales.

Pixar hasn't shut their trap about this movie for the past say 4 years. It looks like Mexican Spirited Away. It's been in production for 7 years, which means Pixar is very invested in it. Whenever Pixar talks about their movie years in advance being great, they're groundbreaking movies. They worked on Inside Out for 6 years and WALL-E for 10, so that tends to be a good sign from Pixar if the movie takes longer to make.

Mark my words: 98% from Rotten Tomatoes for Coco. It will be a masterpiece. Feel free to quote me on this in November.

Also Disney isn't releasing an animated movie this year, which is why the Frozen short is attached to Coco.

About half our theater clapped at the end but don't recall anyone standing. I've also never understood clapping at the end of a movie as the actors/people involved in making the movie aren't there to receive the praise

I feel like a lot of the shots were them showing off how good they've gotten at animating water, sand, and grass.

They've gotten REALLY good. At times it looked like they had placed animated characters over real background footage.

The beach scene was ridiculously realistic looking.

It was ok. Very predictable. Dragged a lot in the middle. Original Cars was best by far. 3 is better than 2. 2 sucked aside from the lemon party hidden joke.

If TFA can get a standing ovation, so car Cars.

Umm, no.

Cars ridiculously stupid concept designed to sell as many toys as possible, and thinking about it for more than half a second brings up incredibly disturbing questions that the films refuses to address.

The Force Awakens was great though. My theater gave it a standing ovation, and I joined in with no regret. One of the best theater experiences of my life.

You sure are butthurt about a movie that makes billions in merchandise and every kid on the planet loves. Disney and pixar could give two shits about your opinion of their movie made for kids.

I don't give a shite so long as it finances movies like Coco and Inside Out. The Cars franchise doesn't affect me. I do have a problem with Toy Story 4 though.

Yeah the animation is first rate. The movie itself was ok. I never liked Owen Wilsons voice and never loved the Cars series. My three year old struggled to sit still through it and my two year old couldnt make it halfway before wanting to go. They much preferred Capt Underpants, and so did I.
