Holy frick, I have a new favorite show. Cillian Murphy definitely delivers. Tom Hardy kills it as well. Sam Neil on thought played his character awesome. Just overall a great show.

Agreed. TBH, when the first season was slow at times I had to force myself to watch it because I knew Tom Hardy(GOAT) was in the second season.

My only complaint is I wish the season were 10 episodes. 8 at least.
I don't say that about every show, but so much more story could be told in this one.

It took me a long while to watch PB merely because the name would annoy me each time I scrolled by it on Netflix. But I agree, I loved it and wish the seasons were longer. The modern music infused into the period piece is great.

British shows usually have shorter seasons. I think it ensures we always get a quality product.

Man, I need to get into this with all the rave reviews it's gotten.
About a month or so ago I was in the middle of watching like 4 different shows and I watched the premier of PB but it didn't really hook me. I fully admit though that I was probably too focused on other shows. I've finished/caught up on those others though so I might give it another chance starting this weekend.

I did the same. I think I was finishing up a re-watch of The Wire and had started watching Marco Polo (which I found meh). I watched part of the first episode of PB and ended up putting it to the side for a few weeks. Then I came back to it and... it's so awesome.

It's a truly astounding show. The WWI flashbacks are fantastic. They give Tommy's character just enough pathos. Great stuff.

One of my favorites too. I actually liked it better (so far anyway) than Boardwalk Empire, which surprised me. Can't wait for the second season.
And whoever picks the music for that show deserves a raise.
