He's become one of my favorite actors. He needs to really blow up in the US.
Check out "The Wind That Shakes The Barley" or "Peakcock" on netflix. Peacock is a weird arse movie to say the least but Murphy's performance is absolutely amazing.

Idk about that, while they're not quite the same type of actors I'd say they were on par with each other. Tom Hardy plays a great crazy mother fricker. And Cillian Murphy plays the "cool guy" to a T.

The show is great. I actually like the BBC way of fewer episodes, higher quality. It's essentially what you see HBO doing as well.
