Got a late start and didn't begin watching the show on Netflix until after Season 6 had ended.

Just completed Season 7 tonight. Might have shed a tear. Don't judge me.

I've always seen a few episodes here and there plus the series finale but never the full seasons

Started from Ep.1 last wkd and am already at the Season 3 finale. Really a top notch show that I think was kinda overshadowed by the success of The Office running at the same time

Top 3 (maybe top 2) comedies ever for me.

Pretty amazing to see how the show and characters evolved throughout the series. I remember thinking at the very beginning "we need more Ron Swanson"...

They did a masterful job with his character development and role in the show. Also, bringing in Rob Lowe as Chris Traeger was clutch.

Yup.

And, as much as I like the Office, I feel P&R was way more consistent. The Office had some down seasons and certainly some down episodes. P&R was good the whole way through.

And I liked every character (outside of Craig, who I just don't count). I can't say the same for the Office.

P&R had some great side characters, Jam, Perd, etc.

Same here. I got a late start on the show and finished the series up last week. IMO one of the best comedy series out there

I definitely agree with this. I also feel like P&R's storyline flowed a bit more smoothly... a lot of sitcoms don't put much effort into the storyline and seem to spend most of their time coming up with punchlines instead of character and plot development. P&R did a masterful job of all of the above.

I recently watched the show in it's entirety and I loved it. I did prefer The Office more personally, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment of the show. Although, it blows post Michael Scott Office out of the water for sure.

The wife and I have been watching it for a few weeks. We never watched more than a couple of episodes during its run. We're on season 6 now. Can't believe I was watching the Office but not this.

I agree with this, but at the same time prime The Office > prime Parks and Rec.

It took me so long to get into this show. I hated it at first. Seriously. Season 1 is abysmal and it doesn't get good, really, until about episode 6 or so of Season 2.

I kept reading on here about how great it was and I kept thinking you all are idiots. But it really is good once you get out of the Season 1 doldrums and into the actual guts of the show. Leslie and Ben's relationship is actually compelling.

I loved P&R, but I was really disappointed with the last season. I felt like Aziz and Chris Pratt really mailed it in. I just thought the last episode of the second to last season was a pretty good way to end it.

Having said that, I did really enjoy the series finale.

I'd agree the last season was kind all over the place.

A lot of people never gave this show another chance after a so so first season. Most wrote it off as a knock off Office with Knope as nothing more than a much less funny Michael Scott.

Great show and glad I gave it another shot in season 2 though

TBH, that's how I sort of viewed it.

But I plan on starting it soon...never seen an episode, but I know it's one that I should like.

I watched the first season live and never got any further. It was slow, and I felt like Leslie was a less funny Michael Scott.

I've been told it really hit its stride starting in Season 2, and got better every episode. Its in the queue to watch this summer.

Edit: I see Bilj and I share the same brain.
