Does anybody go to a Jurassic Park movie for the actors?

You shut your mouth. Jeff Goldblum is one of the greatest actors of our time.

THE best part about JP1 was the animatronic dinos (as opposed to complete CGI). It was so awesome looking at something you know really exists. Your brain just reacts completely differently than when watching effects that are completely CGI.

I PRAY they understand this for JW and pay whatever it costs to have some real animatronics.

I pray they don't. I love CGI.

Tall realize the dinosaurs in jurrasic park weren't true dinos either, right.
And people are making new species all the time through genetic engineering.

They had the same names of their real life counter parts even though they changed their appearance. I just think this idea has been beaten to death. Will watch, though. But like Terminator, I just think it's time to let it go.

The genetically modified dinosaur angle is lame

To be fair, the dinosaurs have always been genetically modified. They used frog DNA to fill in the holes in the DNA extracted from the preserved insects. That's how the explained the ability for dinosaurs bred female to change into males. Some frog and fish species are born intersex, and develop into a sex or even change into the other depending on environmental pressures.

It's not like trained animals don't exist in the real world. Raptors are highly intelligent so this doesn't bother me. But I do hope the raptors hunt down some tourists

Not to mention real world domestication experiments have worked with wild animals. See Silver Fox domestication experiment. Within the realm of this movie (raptors being considered highly intelligent) I think it would be plausible to tame and train the raptors.

that was actually something Dr Wu wanted to engineer into them in the original book. He wanted to purposely make them a lot slower and more docile but Hammond didn't like the idea.

Are all of the dinosaurs not tame?

If all of the dinosaurs are friendly because of scientific changes, I don't like that idea. If Chris Pratt trains the Raptors and makes them obedient, I think that is seriously awesome.

ehh, I dont see it being all that different than dog breeders slowly weeding out aggressive tendencies from certain types of breeds.

This movie looks laughable.

It's a shame too. Jurassic Park was legit.

Well, the dinosaurs in that shot are all herbivores which means that they likely would only get aggressive if you threatened them or got too close. Of course I'm entirely basing this on the behavior of most currently extant species of herbivores.

Also, whose to say that the park isn't using some hypothetical invisible or electric fense as a safe guard along that river?

Well, for one thing Stegosaurus' are very dangerous. Also, is it plausible that they would allow people to go that close to massive animals if they didn't alter their aggressiveness in some way?

As for the force field, I guess I'm not ruling it out , but one of the dinosaurs in the back looks like he's sticking his head out over the river. I guess we'll see.

perhaps

shite, I've been to a few of those wildlife deals like Arbuckle Wilderness and all those animals may as well be pets with the way they come up to your car looking for feed.

The trailer was much better on rewatch on my computer. Pratt's dialouge seems a little better.

I'm willing to bet they thought through how to portray the safety of the park. It's been mentioned over and over again about how safe the park is and how they've fixed the problems with the last park on the mock company sites.
