Yeah that was weird. My hope is that they weren't joining forces they were just fleeing from the super dino together.
To be fair, the 1st Jurassic Park had the Raptors as the main bad guy, the TRex as a bad guy, and then somehow the TRex became an anti-hero.
Will watch. Pretty cool shot of the sea creature.
eta: I'm also not a fan of a made-up dinosaur, but will still watch.

Which, compared to the book, was retarded. Still made for a pretty solid movie, but that was by far the worst part.

So the dinosaurs are friendly and there's a hybrid dinosaur they have to kill. I'll just have to assume they made this all make sense some how.
ETA: Some of you have said the Raptors are friendly. I think all of the dinosaurs are friendly in this one. Like they probably remove their medulla oblongata or something.

I never got around to reading the book. Saw the movie when I was 6-7 years old on VHS, didn't know a book existed for a while. I've tried reading books after seeing the movie, it never works out for the best.

Well shite, that's god enough for me. I thought a lot about people and their phones/devices this past week in Disney World. It's like people don't even care to look where they're going because they're glued to it. So that explanation works easily IMO.

I was hesitant at the thought of making up a new dino when I first watched this, but maybe with this explanation and when more info/trailers/whatnot come out it will grow on me

It's not like trained animals don't exist in the real world. Raptors are highly intelligent so this doesn't bother me. But I do hope the raptors hunt down some tourists
