I like Elba fine. But do you honestly think his name keeps coming up simply bc he's a good actor? There are plenty good actors who could do the role better, just like that guy in the OP stated. He's a big guy, not young, and there's nothing about him that screams "Bond" or "spy". You can be naive, that's fine. I'm of the opinion there's a push for a black Bond, and Elba is that chosen one. And I believe if Elba was white, his name wouldn't pop up.
Before you get crazy on me, I'll go ahead and reiterate that I'm not even a big Bond fan, I like Elba, and I'd see the movie regardless just bc I like seeing movies.

Yes. Name the other black actors they are pushing for the role and I'll believe it's more of an agenda over a guy that's just a good fit. Until then, I'm not the one claiming conspiracy over fans wanting him to be bond

Craig is a great Bond.
But it's about the writing and stories. Casino Royale and Skyfall were great. But Quantam of Solace was the worst Bond movie I ever saw, despite the excellent Bond.
The writing in most of the Brosnan's movies was poor.

This is actually a really good point, isn't Daniel Craig pretty rough and street, I mean he was definitely a move away from the refined polished Burton, Brosnan- Bonds and back to a more Connery level brawler.

I don't think they're pushing any other black actors for the role. He's the one that's been chosen.

I think there's a push for a black Bond, and for Elba to be that black Bond bc he's a good actor who'd do the accent. that's all.
