My daughter watches certain gaming videos on YouTube, and one of the hosts has a new show on YouTube Red. Are there any shows on there that'd appeal to grown-ups too? Any other upsides to subscribing? Or is it not worth the money yet?

It's included in my Google play subscription. The only thing that I can really tell you about it is that you can keep listening to YouTube if you close the app on your phone, which is useful if you use YouTube on your phone for music.

It's included with Google music. No ads and background listening. Totally worth it.

I use it just to play YouTube in the background on my phone. And the free Google music is a bonus.

The original content looks like it'd be terrible.

I haven't tried YouTube red but I found out you can listen to YouTube in the background on mobile on Android if you have split screen option.

On the pixel you long press the square icon in bottom right of screen, not sure which other phones have this feature.
