How did you guys miss her the year before in "2 Days in the Valley"? Jeff Daniels was also in that one too.

Also, I agree with the Jessica Lange in "King Kong."

I'm surprised there has been no mention of Brigitte Bardot.

Young Frunkunsteen is one of my favorite movies and Teri Garr is smoking in it. However, Jane Seymour as Solitaire has got to be the one.

Definitely lesser known, but one of my all-time favorites:

Debbie Reynolds in Tammy and the Bachelor. Hard to believe that Leslie Nielson was the love interest in that move after knowing his roll in all the The Naked Gun series.

Cardenale was hot in the Peter Sellers psychedelia movie (The Party?), as well as A Shot in the Dark or The Pink Panther.

After seeing so many nominees in this thread, I really have to go with Jessica Lange in King Kong. I'm glad she was mentioned. Seriously, if you haven't seen her in that movie, you are missing one of the all-time joys of cinema.

Awful movie, but some seriously hot arse.

IMHO -
Donna Reed in 'It's A Wonderful Life'

I fell for her in the scene where she rises up from the hydrangea bushes in the moonlight after George is summoned home by Uncle Billy.

I also liked Jill Clayburgh in 'Silver Streak'

This guy gets it

First time I saw this movie, I was instantly in love with her. Although she's now with that dipshit Sean Penn

Yes please

And for people who think Cameron Diaz is a terrible choice, she was smoking in The Mask. Lots of hate for a chick who was what the OP is asking for.

Inés Sastre was disturbingly erotic in Carlos Saura´s ´El Dorado´. She was probably a gawky 14 years old at the time.

Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes were probably two of the sexiest, beautiful women on screen that I can remember. 2 for the price of one. Elizabeth Taylor in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof and Giant follow closely.

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned. She really did look amazing in that film.

Brooke Shields in Blue Lagoon is a good call... I think I almost went blind when HBO did a back to back of that movie one summer.
