I love how shows that require more viewer involvement are somehow smarter, as if any real-life situation, with unfamiliar characters and context, can't be funny. Still less ridiculous than Gaston wondering why people laugh when they are alone.

I wonder that if in say 20 years if people look at this Sitcom about the way we look at Jerry Lewis in regard to the Sheldon character.
Jim Parsons is apparently gay and all in real life - no that there's anything wrong with that - but he does do a hell of a job as this character. I'll give him that much. I just wonder about the implied Aspergers syndrome and how that will play into the overall thought of this Sitcom in the future.
Penny is sort of porking, but as long as she continues to wear the tank tops, I'm good.
Don't know why but I'm attracted to the little blonde, Bernadette, but I've always had a thing for small blondes with glasses. She's got a rack of ribs on her, too. Do they use the same voice when she gets mad and sounds just like the dipshit's mother?
The best character ever is Sheldon's sister. Good gravy, Missy is hot. I'd Bazinga her in a heartbeat.

quote:i will give you quick breakdown of why i enjoy them. let me just say first off i hate reality shows with the fury of a thousand suns and music competitions are the only ones i watch. i have always loved music played the drums for a long time 75% of the day i am always listening to some form of music. i am a giant fan of raw talent most of the shite on the radio nowadays is pure crap there is a giant talent void and the airwaves are just filled with mediocre pop stars. these shows present actual singers with actual talent which i enjoy listening to. i dont like all the fluff and the bad auditions they've become so fond of showing. i just love listening to pure talent in its rawest form.

Don't tell me BBT is just starting to bring hot girl with bad acting on like 2 and a half men. Then again chuck Lorre is the creator of both.

I didn't mean to come off as pretentious or anything, and I probably should have held off judgement having never seen BBT. But there are comedies I like alot (Parks and Rec, The Office) where I would say their funniest episode is equal to AD's least funny. And I from the few pieces I have seen of BBT I doubt I would like it anywhere nears as much as Parks.
I know I lot of people will think that this is crazy hyperbole or I am just a huge fanboy, but I think it is true. Nothing against all these shows, AD was just insanely brilliant.

its the arrogant douchebags on here that think because they like p&r and community and hate big bang they somehow have superior intelligence than us mouth breathers that like BBT.

Big Bang Theory is my favorite show right now but New Girl is giving it a run for its money. How is that show not mentioned in this thread yet? New Girl is freaking hilarious and just keeps getting funnier.

Don't know.
What I DO KNOW is that Kaley Cuoco is the hottest thing to be on sitcom TV since 1994-1998 Jennifer Anniston.
