I hated it too. The flying monkeys scared the absolute shite out of me.

I hate the Wizard of Oz. I don't know why, but from the time I first watched it with my grandmother as a child, I never liked it. I tried watching it recently and it was the worst for me.

whew...I feel better now. Had to get that off my chest.

Meh. People put too much stock in whether or not they "like," something. Liking something has nothing to do with appreciating something or seeing the value in it.

Everyone likes something that's complete crap, and that's ok. You can like whatever you want, or not like whatever you want.

Wizard of Oz is a great film, and was extremely influential. Liking it, eh, that's your business.

agreed. I don't like classical music. But I understand that there is a lot of great classical music out there.

just because you didn't get it, doesn't make it a crock of shite.

There are way to many similarities.

Even lyrically.

Off the top of my head:

Home again when she comes inside.

Great gig in the sky starts as soon as the tornado sequence starts.

Black and blue as the camera pans from Dorothy to Witch.

Lunatic is on the grass while the camera wide pans to scarecrow dancing on the grass

And you completely invalidated your entire drug-fueled argument right out of the gate. Go smoke some more doobies and see if your mom restocked your hot pocket supply, druggie.

it wans't planned, if that's what your'e getting at. Anyone who thinks they actually sat down and wrote their album around the movie is clinically retarded.

Scruffy saying it's a crock...I'm assuming he just doens't know what to look for. The first time I ever did it (way back in the day) it was by myself and I had printed off the list form the internet, about 100 things.

Btw, if you're baked enough anything will synch up with anything. This one just has the clout behind it because it's an all time classic movie and an all time classic album.

Ahhh, Dark Side of the Rainbow. This was a big deal in the late 90s. They had a showing of this at the Pontchartrain Center. I went with a guy we called 80s Ronnie. At intermission we did coke in his t-top Camaro. Those were some crazy days.
