How much better would Kylo Ren have been portrayed by Michael Fassbender

I just don't like Adam Driver.

Better if MF was younger.

I didn't like him in the role but he wasn't my main issue.

Driver was ok and I've liked some of his other work since...but the moment he took that helmet off I was like "how did Adam Samberg get this part?"

Not better at all. Worse. The whole point of Ren in TFA was that he's untrained, striving to be more than he is, conflicted, unsure, and not in control of his feelings.

Fassbender to me is someone that is polished, confident and sharp on his skills. I just don't think he'd be able to pull it off as convincingly.

I fully expect to see a different Kylo Ren in TLJ.

Michael Fassbender would have been too intimidating for the role. Kylo Ren is not supposed to be intimidating. He's supposed to be lost, conflicted, and weak - yet powerful in the ways of the Force.

This doesn't make sense. He might be unfamiliar with aspects of the force, especially on the dark side. But he is/was a Jedi master. He ousted Luke and led a rebellion that overthrew the new Jedi order. He has been trained since he was a youngling and he is not that young. He stopped blaster bolts in mid air, something we have never seen any force user be able to do. I get the emotional issues, but his character was just all over the place.

No. Hay wouldn't be right. Fassbender has far too much charisma and charm. The guy playing Kylo is perfect at playing the angry at my parents millennial.

I had no idea who he was before the movie. When he first took off the mask, I was pretty shocked they chose some goofy looking schmuck to play the guy that was a badass a few minutes before. But once you find out he's really a sniveling loser, I thought he was perfect for the role.
