Classy. You could have just replied with the truth, something like.. "So im gonna watch John Wick but im nervous about the dog scene. I find it sad when animals die in films, even more so than when people die. I just wanted to get that out and discuss that topic"

To which I would have said. "yeah i agree, the scene was sad but no disturbing. The dog was super cute"

frick, you sound miserable. Lighten up Francis. No one is taking this as serious as you are.

Are you in a mood because you'll be spending Valentine's alone?

Wick shoots about 100 men in the face during the first half of the movie and you are worried that a stomped dog kill is too violent?

Not everyone enjoys watching a cute pup getting killed before enjoying life. Sorry if that baffles some of you.

Not at all, after 20 years I'm used to it.

Your op was a lame attempt to sound edgy and get attention and you needed to be called out on it.

But like I said the premise of dog deaths in movies being more impactful than human death is very good. And I've enjoyed reading the discussions of that.

Let me guess. You are in your 20s or early 30s. You wear skinny jeans and use product in your hair. You don't have human kids but have a one or more dogs that you call your "children." You love the attention and virtue affirmation that your fellow dog park and coffee shop millennial friends give you. You think that everyone finds your figgity woman like demeanor cute and adorable but then You are surprised when real men find it pathetic.

It was? Was actually just a question since a buddy of mine was asking me if I was going to see John Wick 2 and I told him I hadn't seen 1, mainly because I'd heard conflicting stories about the puppy death.

But man thank god there are people like you policing a message board and setting those straight. Ignoring the thread would have taken way too much effort on your part. TD needs more posters like you.

Holy insecurities, Batman

Glad I made this thread. It exposed some really sad individuals. Being "manly" and incredibly insecure must really go hand in hand.

I do what I can.
The world is full of attention whores and spineless individuals.
I believe the problem is they were raised having been told that everything they do is good and they are special children.
My goal is to call bullshite when I see it and then give advice to prevent it in the future.

Fantastic advice. Well hate to burst your all knowing bubble, but you have some inner demons that you really should get exorcised. May I recommend a therapist? Because you sound pretty damn miserable and you're projecting pretty hard.

Also, I recommend posting on the OT. You'll fit in fine over there.

What's kind of fricked up about John wick is that he kills about 100000 dudes that had nothing to do with that puppy dying.

You are really doubling down that a puppy death in a movie would deter you from watching? A damn fictitious portrayal of a puppy dying would cause you so much anxiety and sadness that you have to shelter yourself from the pain that the fictitious scene would cause. How did you get so freaking emasculated? I am in no way a hard arse but come on man....this is beyond pathetic. Please just continue to make believe that a dog is your child and stick with it through old age.

Only on the interweb do you get shamed for not wanting to watch a puppy get killed.
