Damn, man. It's a TV show. If you want realistic political theater, turn on the news.

As far as my take on the season they drug this thing out way too long. I can appreciate a slow burn but the house needs to fall down next season and it be the final one of the show

As an aside, I wish (and surely we will) we would've gotten more coverage on how the public/media reacted to Conway's fall and apparent bizarre behavior

I also wish we could've seen the coverage of Durant's "fall". That was one of the dumbest thing I've ever seen done on a tv show, out of all the ways he could've eliminated her and THATS how he does it? Just ridiculous

People who say shite like this like it's just a tv show/movie or X show/movie are usually just looking for a cop out instead of having to defend something they really want to defend but really don't want to take the L on.

You hear this about completely unpassable shite in movies and shows aimed at kids, but yet Disney and Pixar give us incredibly smart movies that get better as you age.

I'm not moving an inch. We deserve good and competent filmmaking in all genres and venues. shite like BvS, HoC Season 5, or ghostbusters should be incredibly bashed and not have a place in cinema or TV.

That's not the case for the Underwoods as they are outright corrupt criminals. The biggest sign that that they are psychopathic monsters is the fact they they have repeatedly said that they hate kids and did everything they could to minimize them and avoid them. It takes someone so cold to actually hate kids. The Underwoods don't give a shite about anything but their own power and personal gain. They don't even care about their own spouse as evidenced by Frank and Claire completely hating each other and Frank promising to kill Claire.

The Underwoods have literally attacked the integrity of free and fair elections into outright election fraud, and also literally killed, sabotaged, blackmailed and framed innocent people to advance their own standing and gain power and high position. That's not being shameless/sleazy, that's being evil monsters that belongs in federal prison or more specifically, ADX Florence.

If this was real life and the Underwoods actually did half or even part of the shite they did in season 5, DC and like 85% of Americans as a whole would be losing their fricking minds and calling for their heads. We would be seeing actual riots in the streets. Just Hammerschmidt's article alone would've immediately started a search for a special prosecutor and special committees in Congress would've been convened immediately.

This is why it should have been 3 fricking seasons. Frank gets to the top, Lucas gets out of prison years later and blows the lid off, and then boom, we see Frank fall.

There's no reason for it to go longer than that except of course you're a bunch of money grubbing hacks. It's comical how this show has stayed on.

Have the creators gone on record saying how long they want the show to run? Say what you will about Damon Lindeloff, but he was trying to negotiate the end date of LOST from the very start hoping for 5 seasons but settling at 6, with the final 3 being abbreviated seasons. Anything like that from these guys?

Probably the biggest decline in a show since Heroes.

I think the show's original creator has already left.

Then that proves my point. No one on this show has any integrity and are just after a paycheck. It's ridiculous.

I didn't finish Heroes either, but I've read the synopsis, and if Claire is President, then L O fricking L.

agreed. this was another terrible fricking season. so fricking cheesy to the point that it's laugh out loud bad. this should have been a three season show with francis and his claire both going down in season 3....and by "down" i mean dying/political downfall...and NOT giving their security detail a blowjob.

I'm certainly not advising you to continue.

Is this the presidential lineage since Walker?

Walker
FU
Blyth (acting)
FU
CU (acting)
FU
CU.

Two presidential resignations and Walker's 1st VP quitting to be a governor. In what, 3 years?

I made it to S5 E6 and bailed. I've totally lost interest in this show - the writing is god awful, the plot is lazy, the characters uninteresting, etc.

My how this show went off a cliff. S1&2 were freaking epic.

exactly. if America had this kind of instability in the white house, especially to the benefit of one couple, people would be rioting in the streets and cities would be burning but in HoC there's only some people at the white house fence that don't seem to matter much.
