Is anyone else here on this board watching the new season of House of Cards right now?

No matter what your views, this show has many parallels to what has been going on in D.C. for a while.

It's amazing how they get famous news hosts like Shepard Smith, Wolf Blitzer, and etc.

Not yet but thanks for reminding me! I'm with you, the show has been great so far and I've been looking forward to this season.

Please add Season 5 Thread in your thread title please if the poliboard is going to be discussing the new season.

The scene with the President speaking on the floor in front of Congress like he was a regular member was amazing to watch. This happened in the first episode.

Bill Clinton called it 99% accurate as far as DC politics goes.

What does that mean, in-famous?

Oh, Dusty. In-famous is when you're MORE than famous. This man El Guapo, he's not just famous, he's IN-famous.

Yes, being able to feed into the narcissism of dim witted narcissists is a hell of a coup.

Ugh, I have to wait until I get off of work to start.

I knew it was going to be interesting when I saw shades of #NotMyPresident and the terrorism storyline in the trailer.

I wonder why they didn't drop it on Friday for the long weekend.

Maybe they though people would be too busy? I'm just speculating, though.

Could you imagine the first 10 minutes of episode 1 happening in real life? "I WILL NOT YIELD!"

Yeah, I started to watch but couldn't even get through that scene. I was a fan for the first couple seasons but I don't even know if I'll bother with it. That scene was cringey.

Are they really going to drag the election out the entire season?

Looks like election will play out through at least 4/5 episodes, that's way too long.

I'm now on episode 8 and while it's interesting, it's beginning to drag.
