I agree with your Vlad Dracul. I want to say I've seen that someone famous bought some rights to this.

A movie with a name that dumb would never be successful.

Would love to see this.

Marcus Licinius Crassus-Richest man in Rome. A central Rome figure that needs a good bio pic.

His character was interesting in the Spartacus show

#1: I love that movie
#2: It was highly fictionalized
#3: It focuses on the group, rather than the individuals.
Did you know Yeager was a fighter pilot in WWII? Got shot down over France, joined the French resistance, made it back to England, and somehow managed to work his way back to flight duty.
Shepard is a very interesting guy and a staple of the astronaut corps from mercury through Apollo.

Louie Zamporini(sp?). It would need to be a miniseries though to do this story justice. If you haven't read it yet, read "Unbroken".

Charlemagne's campaign against the saxons from the saxons' point of view
the life of constantine, with no miracles and giving due time to his murders. also with a focus on the often violent struggles among different christian sects
crusader sack of Constantinople in 1204
early kings of rome and greece from a demythologized point of view

This movie has been made. It's called A Man For All Seasons. It's been a while since I watched it, but I remember it being very good. It is pretty old though (1966), so maybe a rehashing would be appropriate.
For my own suggestions, I think a story about the Countess Bathory could make a great creepy horror type flick. It certainly could use some dramatic license.
I would also like to see the Aeneid in film, using all the mythical elements used in the book. A miniseries would probably be the best way to do that one.

Ted Williams.
Guy was the greatest hitter of all time, took TWO breaks from MLB to be a fighter pilot in WWII and then Korea, then became one of the most recognizable outdoors-men/fishermen of his day and a legendary prick...and was eventually taken back into the hearts of the people of Boston.
One time, Bob Costas was interviewing Ted and he told Ted, "You know...John Wayne was basically playing you in all those movies." ted's reply, "Yeah, I know."
Biggest problem would be finding a guy who could play him and not look like a complete idiot while trying to swing the bat like him.

The Thirty Years War -- lots of great characters, plus its one of the most important moments of European history... and most people know squat about it
William of Orange -- just a fascinating guy and close to a "rags to riches" story you'll ever get with a prince. Plus, fun villain in Prince/King Phillip
Henry Clay -- pretty much the story of early America, and he's a fascinating guy. He also liked women, wine, and gambling, so...
The Battle of Homestead -- Carnegie and Frick's rivalry (Frick's also a wonderful villain) leads to the most violent labor confrontation in our history. Besides, you have your money quote from Frick to Carnegie, "I'll see you in hell, because that is surely where both of us are going."

They need to finish "Mongol," the story of Ghengis Khan.
The Punic Wars would be epic.
The Siege of Syracuse by Rome
The Battle of Syracuse with Athens
Miyamoto Musashi (yes, I know it was done before)
Cao Cao
Mad King Ludwig of Bavaria
The rise of the Medicis

The entire War of the Three Kingdoms would be pretty damn epic. I'm really not all that familiar with the actual history though. I pretty much am only familiar with the video game Dynasty Warriors and a little bit of the book Romance of the Three Kingdoms. From what I remember Lu Bu, Guan Yu, and Liu Bei were all much cooler than Cao Cao.
