Granted, I haven't seen them all. Parenthood, Night Shift, and Apollo 13 are my favorites. Many had promise, but in the end, were just meh. What say you?

Ron Howard is a hack for villifying Max Baer the way he did. I remember watching the DVD commentary and the POS was acting like Baer was this gigantic evil psychopatic a-hole who enjoyed killing people. If the dumbass did any research, he would have known that it ate away at Baer after killing the man and that he never fully recovered. But no, Baer was a killer. Baer was a psychopathic. Baer was not a good human being. fricking hack.

His historical dramas are entertaining, but filled with errors and Hollywood whitewash.

But he's directed some fun movies.

Undeniably, as well as Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind.

But Splash will always be my favorite, for sentimental reasons.

Parenthood,

I watched this today on Encore. It was probably my 30th time to see it. It's one of those movies that I will watch when it's on.

I also think it's a helluva well-done movie and captures parenting very well. Steve Martin is hilarious and Jason Robards plays a helluva role, too. I wanna kick the shite out of the youngest son, but that was just good acting in two ways...hell, he was such a bad actor to his family that he made a good actor on screen...the Amadeus guy that is. And gotta love Justin...that was a cute, funny kid. Kevin, meanwhile...errrr...but that is what makes the movie great. Rick Moranis was totally funny, too. Keanu Reeves should have stuck to movies like that. "Todd" was funny.

Meanwhile, Ron Howard is quite overrated but Frost/Nixon was one of his most recent films that I enjoyed. Much of his other stuff is total poop.
