Damn I forgot about that, can you imagine the person that HS will trot out there for that trial by combat?
In the books, everything has pointed to Clegane Bowl. Who TF knows anymore? Will it even matter now that the show "is" ASOIAF for all practical purposes at the moment?

Hodor here. Let's do this.

Unfortunately, this is a hell of the Hodors' own making. Their allergy to knowledge and abject fear of spoilers (seriously, WTF can be spoiled until the release of TWOW) have forced this rather harsh divide. Plus, they can barely contain their bile when they say, "book readers" - so I'm okay with the petty nature of this.
Yeah, I get that. I know a couple of those guys could be really overbearing. (Then again, in the Walking Dead threads I was a non reader, so I kind of know where they're coming from, if not their more extreme reactions).
But I just don't see a reason for continuing to put stuff in the subject line like GET LOST HODORS. Except for a bit of minor humor maybe but that's got old to me. Plus, to me, that space could maybe be used for something more useful. For instance, I always kind of wished for an indication of what page coincides with the show starting time. (I'm not sure why I would like that because I'm always in here from page one, but it seems like it would be handy for some who just want to follow from when the actual episode is airing or has aired).
Anyway, like I said, it's the OP's choice and he has a right to title his thread whatever he wants. I was just stating my humble opinion.

Man that's crazy because as a Hodor I love how he is slowly turning against her. You can tell he sees that she is unhinged now. Their conversation in the courtyard in the season premier showed just how different they are now. I think it's just a matter of time now

He's finally coming around, but when Jaime got his hand cut off he became very disenchanted with Cersei to the point of totally despising and being disgusted by her. He's not in murderous mode yet in the books, but he's getting there.

Anyone else wondering what all the Dothraki horses have been living on at Dragonstome?
It's a nit picky detail, but I'm more concerned with the fact that both the Dothraki and Yara's Iron Born completely giving up their way of life.
Sure, those Dothraki see her as almost God-like.. and they partly followed her because of her promise of battle and conquest.
Which she will do.
But the Dothraki rape and pillage with the worst of them so do they not presume to do the same in Westeros? And isn't that random slaughter and harming of innocents the exact antithesis of what Danny wants to be?
Same goes for Yara's Iron Born. I know they follow her because of her skills in combat and the respect they have for. But did they expect her to just so casually throw away the Iron Born's culture of raping and raiding to become Queen of the Iron Islands?
I don't know. I just feel like a lot of people from both those groups would've dropped out if the knew what to properly expect under Danny's rule.

They ain't blowing up the sept

It was a while ago that I read the books so this is speculation. I assume Jamie is on his way to Highgarden to claim that from the Tyrells; this will gain the Lannister army the grain stores (Jamie mentioned this in the last episode) and show the realm what happens if you rebel against the crown as the Tyrells did.
The Unsullied are on their way to Casterly Rock, the traditional home of the Lannisters; Tyrion's thought is that losing this will show the realm how weak the current queen is as she can't even hold her ancestral home.
It may be that for the show they combine these two locations; I hope not but having one battle rather than two could speed things along.

It's just tradition now. I couldn't care less who posts in here. We're all on the same level now except book readers can point to character development and prophecies. That's about it.

When the show starts, just click on the thread and go all the way to the last page, that should be what coincides with its starting time. Unless you usually watch after the original airing.

There ain't now way that they would combine two of the most important places in Westeros.

Agree. Wasted as a subplot character despite great position in the plot to be more and great actor.

This. Jamie has been pretty outspoken that he cares little for the Rock. Tywin begged him to become his heir and take possession but Jamie told dad to frick off. I wonder if he cares to fight for who holds it?

Tired argument.
Great stories stay true to the universe they exist in.

Well, Jaime is technically the Lord of Casterly Rock now that he's been stripped from the Kingsguard. Hell technically he was the rightful king and ahead in the line of succession over Cersei, although Jaime certainly doesn't want either of those things.

Rightful lord of Casterly Rock, I agree with.
Rightful King, I don't see. The Lannisters have no legitimate claim to the throne at all unless it be one of conquest. And if that is it, it is Cersei who conquered (in a manner of speaking). Ceersei's "legal" claim if she has one is as Robert's widow and Tommen's mother. I don't know how the succession laws of Westeros work but I don't think you can get Jamie into any discussion as rightful king.

He's stuck in "If she dies... she dies..." mode right now. I think the time he spent with Brienne rubbed off on him. Not in the sense that he is falling for the Gem From The Sapphire Islands, but her moral and honor code has stirred Jamie.
I don't necessarily think Jamie was the monster people like to act like he is. Outside of the incest and throwing Bran out the window to cover for it, what has he done? He didn't break his oath and kill the Mad King for his family or to try to take the throne. He killed the Mad King to save the people of Kings Landing from wildfyre.

Gendry is the rightful king of Westeros and has been since Robert wrestled the boar. That being said, when Tommen died the line of succession died with him and the throne was open. It was open for the tanking by he or she who weilded the most power.
Enter Cersei. She isn't queen because she was Robert's wife or Tommen's mum. She's queen because she has the power.
and power... is power.
