Shouldn't the show at least be mentioning Tommen and Myrcella I mean they will be huge parts and plenty people don't even know they exist

I don't know that he said they were killing off more, just that there are characters dead in the show that are alive in the books...one of Dany's handmaidens, Irri, and Rakharo, a Dothraki...Minor characters that don't have any important backstory and could be easily replaced in the future with new characters.

I was thinking that the Dothraki that had his throat and tongue ripped out by Drogo in the first season was the same one that shows up at the end of book 5, and that Martin was a little upset about that.

You're thinking was correct but I thought it was the dothraki that Jorah killed

I think I read somewhere that there was speculation that they weren't showing Tommen and (I think) Rickon much if any so that they could replace them with older actors later (when they had bigger parts to play) and there would not be as much of a jarring transition. I didn't see that said about Myrcella but perhaps it applies to her too.

Just looked it up. It was Mago. In the show he is killed, but he is still never killed in the books and is a bloodrider to Jhaqo.

Well obviously that's the case but they should at least mention them.

Agreed. I guess we'll see a new actor for Tommen next season...I don't think we've seen him since the Blackwater episode.

Can't wait until they reintoduce them and the non-reader thread is all like, "OMG, who are they? I didn't know Joff had a brother, blah blah blah"

Anyway, I wanted to bring up Tommen to them when they were suggesting that Tywin would make a play to become King> I mean, THAT CAN"T HAPPEN PEOPLE!!!! /end rant

He did in the middle of last season. I'm pretty sure we all know who it was.

You know what?

frick them people.

If they don't want to know frick them.

If they don't have an idea of what is going on because they are too busy bitching then frick them.

We know, what is going on. The show presents it. We have seen Tommen and Myrcella. If they don't have the mental abilities to process the show, then frick them.

And both will have fairly significant parts to play - Tommen will be king after all, and will be the object of a bit of tug of war between Cersei and Margarey for influence of him. And Myrcellea get involved in that whole Dorne situation.

I've got a feeling that Rickon & Osha should have gone their separate ways from the rest of the group by the time they reach the Queenscrown, which should be coming up in the next episode or two I would think. Lots of building tension between her and the Reeds.

I'll bet coco deletes this in the Hodor thread.

I forgot you were one of us and put it in the other thread. We really do have three book reader threads active now.
