The Tower of Joy was after Kingslanding.

Yea, now I remember. The whole, asking them to stand down thing.

He could've just gotten Ice from KL then after it was sacked.

Correct, I always assumed that it was Ice that was placed at the feet of Brandon Stark. I don't see how Lord Stark would leave Ice with Bejen Stark in Winterfell when he headed to King's Landing.

Even if he did, how did Ned have in at the Tower of Joy? He was in the Vale and then the Riverlands when the Rebellion started.

The Tower of Joy, was it before or after the sack of KL? Didn't Ned have Ice then?

Not necessarily. Ice actually seems like a blade you wouldn't want to wield in combat unless you were Gregor Clegane. The sword was huge and heavy. I'd imagine he faced the Kingsguard with a lighter sword. Ice was built to behead people, and that's all its really used for in the series.

The Hound taught me everything I needed to know about sword names.

The Hound has some of the best lines in the series, especially during the Blackwater episode.

Yes, the Thenns are a more organized Wildling tribe. And I can't recall if they were cannibals in the books but the show made it seem like they definitely were.

The show left no doubt that they were cannibals.

I thought I remembered something in the book about how they've been known to eat humans but it's not something they regularly do. So they do it when necessary maybe?

On the same note, I never imagined the Magnar of Thenn to look like that. I liked the tribal scars on his head, but I didn't like the grey skin

I pictured them to look kind of weird like that, and I figured they'd have to keep his ears for the show.

Yea I didn't expect them to find an earless guy to play him
I just imagined him with tan skin similar to the Dothraki, the grey threw me off

yeah, the grey was a little shocking to me as well, but they did look pretty badass/intimidating.

Talisa, played by Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter.

Did I see that one of Cersei's spies found out about Shay? I don't feel like asking the other thread.

That is certainly how it appeared.

Yeah, she saw Shae storming out of Tyrian's room and then went to find Cersei to tell her something important.

Okay. I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice that.
