Who asks the questions? Book readers? I think not.

I agree that people who read the books shouldn't spoil the show. But people in this thread have serious issues with getting their panties in a bunch.
every time it gets back to discussion another yokel comes in "Was this shite spoiled on page 12? FFFUUUCKKK!!" and then the cycle begins again.

Or I've got a novel idea (no pun intended) GTFO if you've read it and can't trust yourself to know with absolute 100% certainty that everything you type is from the show's script

You are correct, you never said the words "I stand by it".

You said this..

her post to me was a personal attack. I responded in kind. I will ignore, but when someone tells me to "die" I don't just ignore it.

And some chick tells you to edit your post and I am the one hardlegging?

If you call a woman a count, at least have some balls and not edit it out.

So yes, you are a huge pussy.

Now in case you haven't noticed, nobody wants your dumb arse in this thread.

Yes you are hardlegging.

See one may not know but this site used to not allow 'count' and would make it say "count" having rarely used that word I expected it to do so.

This thread was started by a reader, and nowhere does it say no literates.

Also, no one even knows or cares who you are lurker.

I also edited it a lot quicker than you said.
It's easy to call names behind a keyboard. She attacked me, I attacked back.

Then you come in 5 pages later.

I just want to discuss the show. The show, not the book. Not the future of the show like the other thread, but the episodes. That is why so many are in here.

I bet a show of hands, shows a 50-50 split in this thread of readers and non. I proposed a better thread system next week.

But here you come in knighting.

So anyways, I enjoyed the episode. I have a few questions for tomorrow morning, so I'll bump then, but overall, this episode was good. No Dany!!

I'm so sick of this bullshite. I'm gonna make one more attempt to explain things. I'll be out of town most of today and tomorrow, so I'll only be on here sporadically anyway. So frick it, here goes (and it will be long, so strap in).

I don't get how none of you readers can understand the frustration from everyone else. And to be honest, I think you do understand it and you just don't give enough of a frick to respect that this thread is for nonreaders. Ya'll can say "This thread says 'No spoilers', not ' No bookfags'" all you want, but you damn well fricking know that is what it means...ever since the show aired, there as been one thread for people reading the books and one thread for people just watching the shows. So that's a bullshite fricking argument.

There are multiple threads for bookreaders to post in. The huge ASOFAI spoilers thread, the episode threads for bbookreaders, etc. This is the only one for people who only want to watch the show and digest the information that way. The basic, simple, easy "rule" should be that people who read the books should post in their thread and leave this one to the rest of us. But you guys can't fricking do it...you're fricking incapable. You HAVE to be all up in here for whatever reason. I see some of you bitching that the book thread is full of theories and bitching about the show, so you don't want to post in there...well, why not? You can pick and choose what posts to respond to, so you can all have the exact same conversations in that one as you can in here...and the difference is that you won't really spoil anything for people in that thread like you may possibly do in here. So why not just post in there? Because it makes too much sense? Why not just make the other thread better with solid conversation..?

What you don't understand is that you simply can't discuss the show the same way we can. We ask each other questions to generate discussion among people with the same knowledge base. Hint: that's NOT you guys..it's all of us who don't know the answers. Yet you always have to chime in with your "two cents." Even if you are answering direct questions, that doesn't mean those questions should be answered in a thread like this (for no spoilers and no book information). And the problem is that your two cents isn't just that because you're answering shite based on your knowledge of the books. Try as you might, but it is literally impossible for you to ignore the book knowledge that's in your head, so simply put: you can't discuss the show in the same way. So just don't post in here. It's not about "posting spoilers," but rather that the two groups simply can't discuss the show in the same way because they are coming from two COMPLETELY different knowledge-bases of the information.

There's HUGE difference between these: Me (a nonreader) saying something like "Man, I hope they kill Joffrey soon." Because coming from me, I just hate that dude and hope he gets his at some point. However, if a reader (especially a well known reader) says literally the exact same thing, "Man, I hope they kill Joffrey soon," it can mean any number of things. It can be completely harmless and be pure speculation, or it can mean that he's read that in the books and is awaiting the death of Joffrey on screen, or something else. The problem comes in when people don't know where the reader's thoughts stem from, and we're immediately wary of the information. And that kind of situation has happened MANY times before, so it's not like we're just pissing and moaning, getting jimmies rustled, "getting panties in bunches, etc." for no reason...we're trying to prevent shite like that from happening again because we don't want shite fricking up our entertainment of the show.

And it constantly sucks because again, the easiest and most fair way to everyone is for people who have read the books to just stay out of the thread meant for only show-watchers, yet that never seems to happen. We should call a truce...ya'll post in ya'lls thread and we'll post in ours, and that would make things easier and more enjoyable for everybody. We all talk in thousands of threads around here, so we should be able to separate ourselves in threads based on one single show. And shite, believe it or not, I hate bitching about spoilers. But I also hate when people can't respect something as simple as this. We don't want our hands held through this (and if we do, there are threads for that).

So now here we are, and half of this thread has been readers defending their posts in here. Ya'll can point to us and say that we deserve some of the blame, but thats bullshite. Because there would be no "back and forth" and no complaining of readers if they simply weren't posting in here and were posting in the thread that is meant for them. And on top of that, there would be no complaints about readers if they weren't toeing the line of what they post. Defend it all you want, but some of you damn well know you've posted shite in these threads that you shouldn't have. Sure, there are some readers who do a really good job of keeping their mouths shut and not ruining things, but there are also a good group of ya'll that do post stupid shite...and whether it's just fricking with us or not, it shouldn't be in here. I don't know why it continues to happen. This board usually manages to police itself fairly well, especially when it comes to things like spoilers or outside-of-show information, but GoT (and TWD) threads seem to be the worst. I don't get why ya'll can't just stay out of here...and that's not as much of a "Get off my lawn" statement as it is a "Why can't you respect us enough to stay away?" statement. Sometimes, in the past, there have been people flexing their book knowledge muscles in these threads, sometimes people have been honestly trying to be helpful and accidentally let things slip, and sometimes people have just been outright assholes and spoiled shite on purpose. ALL of those scenarios suck for nonreaders. And ALL of those scenarios would have been avoided had readers simply not ever posted. That's what I don't get. It's so obvious and so easy to me (and most of us), yet you guys simply can't do it, or can and refuse to. And that fricking sucks.

So that's it...sorry it's so long, and I hope it makes sense (makes perfect sense in my head, if that matters).

As said earlier by one of the other posters, some of us like to discuss the show with those who haven't read the books and the book reader threads tend to veer off more into the books then discussion of the actual show.

Of course I don't get why non-readers can't just RA the comments that they don't want here and continue the discussion of the show, ignoring those they don't want to address. Because frankly, you all don't "own" the thread and that's how it's being treated. If certain posters are a problem then address that with the admins.

That was your response?

We have to RA reader bullshite in a thread (or ignore it!?) that everyone knows is meant for non-readers. I guess we just have to make that more clear next week.

Thanks for confirming that the readers who post in this thread are both delusional and retarded.

Time to start a booknerd maester list.

Remove posts from them in these threads on sight.

I'm perfectly fine lurking this thread from here on out.

Before the Game of Thrones came out, I had never heard of the books. In fact until I decided to give the show a try after the second season, I thought it was some vapid show based off a video game. Boy, was I wrong, and it is a great show with great depth, but I haven't read, nor am I likely to read the books.

IMO, this thread went crazy wild when a crazy arse ignorant non book reader started accusing others of spoilers. I'm not even sure the first accused was a book reader. But they did no such thing. What was asked could have been answered by being a thinking watcher of the show.

Maybe this thread is nuts because there have been some really bad apples in the past. But I agree with the suggestion that offenders should be objectively handled individually.

I tried reading the books after season 2. They were too boring. I prefer the show.

Same here...

I don't see how it's so hard for some of the book readers to understand that this is a thread for people who have not read the books. I know that most of the readers think it's helpful to chime in and answer questions but it's not. Let them discuss and breakdown the show on their own and if they are wrong about some facts, then let it be...

I 100% agree with Coco about this and it really shouldn't be that difficult to understand for all of the literates posting in this thread.

Lurk but don't post. It's simple.

it's a no spoiler thread, not a no reader thread. it was starter by a reader.

now how hard is that for you to understand?
