The ultimate pragmatist, IMO. I bet she taught Margaery everything Margaery knows about playing the game. She really seems to understand what a woman can and can't do in the patriarchal society in which they live.

after sansa says "he's a monster," Olenna and Margaery's reactions are priceless

Tywinn is a good one too

yeah, the acting/direction in this show is top notch. A few of the accents bug me sometimes...but I can get used to it for the greater good.
I just fear that the young actors/actresses may age quite a bit the next few years. Bran certainly looks a good bit different than he did in season 1.

Unless the characters get killed off
Unlike a lot of shows, people actually DIE sometimes. It's crazy.

I thought I read they were gonna start doing that

season four was just recently announced, they will film later this year. no plans for future seasons have been made

So there are 5 books currently out, right? And plans for there to be 7 total? And it's one season per book? Or thereabouts?

wow didnt realize this:

Are the dire wolves real or are they CG?
WEISS: They’re real trained wolves that we shoot here, as visual effects elements, and then we scale them up by about 50%, which is about the maximum you can realistically scale an animal up without it starting to look fake. They’re supposed to be the size of a small pony. We looked into doing CG, at the time, and it just looked like it was going to be prohibitively expensive to do it that way. So, we do it with real wolves, shot separately, and then inserted with visual effects into the scene.

I just watched the episode and enjoyed it a lot, and I really want to see some of the commentary in this thread.
Anyone want to tell me which pages in this thread to skip so I can avoid when the book readers showed up "to just discuss the show?"
That shite is beyond old at this point.

this thread is a disaster. dont even read. just give your thoughts here and we can discuss

interesting. I thought it was CG. That is a good cost-cutting measure. I really wish this show had a mega-blockbuster budget though

Almost anything before about the halfway point of page 32. At that point it started to get on track. There are a few nuggets before but it's not worth it to look for it. Just assume whatever you have to offer is new and we'll run with it.

I don't understand why it's so hard for book readers to just completely stay out of this thread....we have no reason to POST in this thread. We can read it but I guess I just don't I understand since there is a seperate thread just for us.

Well I just wanted to drop in and say it moved when Natalie Dormer was holding that crossbow.
Also, this kid with Bran, have we see him before or is he entirely new?
