I was getting "manwich" confused with "Meatloaf". My bad.

I think I missed something, but who is the guy that cut off Jaime's hand? I'm so confused since Harrenhal in what they are doing and what they are skipping.

He's a hybrid as far as the show goes, I believe. It would be Vargo, right? I cannot recall from the book (which I read a long time ago).

ETA: I stand corrected (see below)

He is a Bolton mand. Locke I think. They did away with Vargo Hoat and the Bloody Murmers(Companions).

They are basically skipping everything with Bolton taking Harrenhal from the Mountain and Arya being Roose's cup bearer (Nan). And the weasel soup escape. They did away with Arya meeting Harwin, who takes her to Beric and escapes leading her straight to the Hound.

Roose ended up at Harrenhal when he rode there with Robb and Robb left him and his men there while they went to Lord Hoster Tulley's funeral.

In this story (the show) would Locke just not yet be aware that Roose is in league with the Lannisters? Or has Roose not yet cut a deal with them?

I don't think he knows. Vargo doesn't know in the books, but cuts Jamie's hand anyway. When he finds out that he is going back to Kings Landing, he gets worried that Tywin will be mad.

I think, just speculation on my part, that Locke thinks they will be sending an alive Jamie back to Riverrun (sans hand).

The red priest needs someone with Baratheon blood. He is the only bastard that wasn't killed under Joffrey's orders.

(freaking love that google knows these words lol' Baratheon)

Doubtless part of the consolidation of plot lines and characters that they are doing to fit the book onto the show.

I don't really mind this particular twist. It' not like Gendry has been doing a heck of a lot in the books anyway. Just kind of lingering there.

I'll be more torn if they have Melissandre meet up with Thoros, Beric or anyone else in the Riverlands. That to me would be a pretty big departure. The only thing I could see that maybe assisting the story is if she sees how screwy the "resurrection" practiced by the red priest can be and how the outcome can be less than desirable. (This would be better shown with UnCat than Dondarion but I think maybe there would be time line problems going that route). If she learns something here, maybe IF she resurrects Jon (still a pretty big IF in my opinion), she can actually get it right and not come out with him being some freak.

So non readers think Melisandre is Stannis' wife?
