Yeah, Maester Aemon dying, Gilly getting nearly raped, Sam getting pummeled, then boning Gilly, Tyrion meeting Dany, Sansa getting turned in to Ramsay and loyal contact being flayed, and Stannis being told if he sacrifices his daughter, he'll get to be king?

Nah. Nothing significant happened save Cersei getting jailed...
Seriously. I don't get the bitching. Past 2 episodes were much worse. This was one of the better episodes of the season.

For me it was one of the season's best.

The shite with Sansa was so creepy. Thought it was worse for her this week than last.

I am 2/3 through the episode and will come back when I'm done but damn, it's a mess. I am tired of the Sansa shite. She needs to die or she needs to kill Ramsey. Maybe this gets settled by the end of the ep and I'll come back singing a different tune but this is played. Something needs to happen.

Also not into the Sparrow bullshite. It doesn't hold water. Worst plot line ever.

It's entirely possible we've all gotten a little jaded. It's been a while since a major character got kilt or there was an epic battle scene.

It is kind of hard to accept that a bunch of monks can control the city and arrest royalty. The city watch could wipe them out pretty easily, not even saying the king's guard or the army that is stationed there. The radicals have no real weapons, armor and no training. They wouldn't stand a chance in a fight. Cersei's private guard is pretty ruthless. They would start hacking away if they heard she was arrested (much less ever leave her side)..

I think it was easily the best. The closing episodes are going to be great IMO.

They were backed by "the king" until tonight.

No, but they've got very valuable hostages, and like Cersei told Tommen, when the shite goes down, who're the first ones they're gonna kill?

Yeah, Cersei doesn't go to breakfast without body guards, maybe they just got told to wait outside.

I want to see that scene. When some dirty monk informs the 4 knights that Cersei has been arrested. They would go crazy. Remember when Ned tried to take the throne from her? Ned said she had 12 knights and 100 men at arms under her service. I'm sure she still has that, if not more. That force could easily take the building.

I don't know if that holds up. If they attacked, they wouldn't have time to run to the cells to grab hostages and bargain. Everything is done in that one cathedral type of place. Not hard to wipe out all the principles before they got away.

I am accepting it for the story's sake. But when you look at it, it just doesn't hold up..

Right. We watched an hour worth where the only thing was in the last 2 minutes.

So are these threads becoming like the Walking Dead threads where its cool to say every episode sucks but people keep watching anyway?

I haven't read this thread at all. I'm pretty tired. Is tonight's episode a must watch, or should I let it wait?

I think you have to watch it before the next episode, but it's none of our bidness what you do before going to sleep. Only God can judge you.

I don't think Sansa learned much from LF, as I suspected.

I love this show and I enjoy every episode.

The Jorah stuff was great if not a little convenient.

I'm very, very tired of being trolled on the Sansa/Ramsey thing. It is fine if they want it play it out, but they need to stop with the horseshite like tonight where Sansa cuffs a weapon. Do it or do not do it. It has become tiresome.

The Sparrow plot line is implausible and idiotic and is ruining the season. It was implausible when they took Marjorie. It is even more implausible now that they have Cersie. It is an old dude and a handful of guys in robes and the writers have not done a good job establishing why they are able to do what they have done outside of being a pawn in Cersie's play against the Tyrell's and that play wouldn't have worked IRL anyway.

Bad writing, tropes, laziness.

I'm bummed out about the show right now.

He's the Pope. The Pope is gonna have some stroke over religious people/fanaticals. Fanaticals have taken plenty of hostages and done plenty of harm with small numbers against overwhelming odds.
