Agree... he sees Cat in Sansa and he's made mention of that before. It's obvious to me after last night's episode that Rheagar and Lyanna's 'union' plays a pivotal plot element. Multiple references of them throughout the episode (characters only referenced by name throughout the series) and a flashback with Ned from Season 1 (in the crypt)?? So they are seemingly trying to tie something in here.
Also, remember back to the first episode of this season with Cersai remembering her visit to a witch as a little girl..and this witch foretelling her children would not rule, or something to that affect. I'm thinking Tommen and the daughter are probably not with us much longer??

Several times. He's always seemed pretty taken by Sansa IMO. Now, that could obviously just be him playing her to make her think that...but I always found him to be drawn to her in a very similar way as to her mother. Plus, he has that weird pedophile vibe sometimes.

I always assume everybody is on the verge of death in this show. I find that helps. That's honestly one reason I knew it was bad news for Barristan Selmy last night...I just hope he makes it out okay.

I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of them get offed at some point, but myrcella definitely could live on as someone's wife, and tommen (i admit, probably has to die at some point) coule theoretically cede the crown to someone and be exiled to the wall or pardoned maybe?
Example scenario: let's say he finds out for sure that his mom and dad are Jaime/Cersei. And for the example, somehow Cersei dies a horrible, gratifying death. Margaery, sensing that they are in a pretty tough spot, convinces him to acknowledge his incestuous origin and cede the crown to Stannis in return for a full pardon. The Tyrells gain (more or less) control of the Lannister heir. And Tommen lives to, uh, serve his queen.

But what does Margaery need with Tommen then? She's power hungry...or more specifically queen hungry. Tommen serves no purpose to her at that point.

If Tommen acknowledges he is from Cersei/Jamie, wouldn't he be invalidated as Lannister heir?

You mean Baratheoon heir? He'd still be a Lannister heir (actually would be like a super heir since both parents are Lannisters ).
But yeah, he'd be invalidated as heir to the Iron Throne for sure...that's part of Stannis's whole argument, in that he's the brother of the king and the king had no legitimate sons/heirs.

No, I meant Lannister. I guess I just assumed there was a rule against offspring from incestuous relationships holding title, although I guess the Targs did it.

Yeah but if either Dany or Stannis (the mannis) gain control of the throne, I don't really see how Margaery has a shot being queen. In that case, holding on to the Lannister heir is a pretty decent consolation prize.

Not to mention that if something happens to Tommen, and Margaery goes after the Mannis (or whoever ends up as king), he'd surely think twice about getting with her since all three of her previous husbands/whatevers died...assuming Tommen eats it at some point (Renly, then Joffrey, then Tommen).
Not to mention everybody would be blasting Kanye's "Gold digger" all the time since she basically only gets with kings.

I could see Lancel going completely off the deep end and murdering Cersei for incest.

Anyone think brienne and stannis arrive at winterfell at the same time? I haven't seen that situation come up in this thread. I think that would be a pretty badass moment. I believe killing stannis is pretty damn high up on her list for killing her king.
Posted on 5/4/15 at 5:59 pm to KajunKouyon
Ooooh didn't think about that aspect. Yeah she definitely wants to kill her some Stannis. That would be interesting.. Regardless seems like a lot is about to go down in Winterfell.

If Stannis gets killed by Brienne, it's a pretty shitty way for him to go out.

What ever happened to Kat's brother? Didn't he escape the Red Wedding? I wonder if he ever started rebuilding their forces and who took over the Riverlands. Kat always made the Tullys sound like a really powerful family (especially in the scene where they arrest Tyrion). There are still a ton of players they don't show or mention..

I believe he's prisoner of Frey.
Posted on 5/4/15 at 8:14 pm to USMCTiger03
Yeah the freys took him hostage at the red wedding.

Anyone else get a feeling yesterday that the Jaime/Brienne story isn't done? He was looking pretty wistfully at Tarth when they passed by it.
