I think they need to ratchet up the Night King very soon to get people emotionally involved in him as a villain.

Joffrey and Ramsey had much more of a connection with the audience.

yep, is my biggest issue with the whole thing - seems to lack a cohesive direction

Well hard to blame the show writers if this happens given the NAME OF THE FREAKING BOOKS

There are millions around the world who watch this show. Each person has their own theory. People on message boards like Reddit and here spend countless hours over the last few years coming up with every possible scenario. So logically one of those theories that makes at least some sense is going to be true.

As the series winds down, there are only so many outcomes that can occur.

Now all of a sudden everybody wants to be the "cool kid" talking about how "they knew this was going to happen" and start shitting on the show.

Everyone knew that Daenerys would make it to Westeros.

Yeah no shite, that's the fricking story line.

GoT is the best show that TV has ever seen and will be for quite some time. Period.

Jon himself is the song of ice and fire, not him + Dany

I disagree. If you've read the books you are familiar with certain backstory that I think telegraphs the fact that they are both needed for the final resolution of the conflict. The books, plus interviews with Martin and D&D, as well as a few clues this season have pretty much given us the ending, IMO.

Nah Jon is by proxy of how the whole thing started (Rhaegar (fire) and Lyanna (Ice) ).

Or you can say the impending kid from Dany will be .

Didnt Melisandre make a comment about how she brought together fire and ice just before leaving dragonstone? I would think that would end any debate.

At any rate, every Azor Ahi needs his Nissa Nissa.

All things are predictable this close to the end

You've waddled down the characters and set the remaining ones on a path on which they're near the end

It's a matter of extrapolation

Very true. However we have still not seen Lightbringer show up in anyway.

In the lore Azor Ahai stabs his Nissa Nissa (and I dont mean with his dick ).

Can you imagine the outrage if this happens?

Thats been a problem on the show for the last 2 seasons.

I just finished rewatching the series and I forgot how much of a turkey season 5 and even last season was until the last 2 episodes.

Agreed (didn't realize this was a bumped thread)

Remember, it's prince or princess, so there's still hope to appease the hordes of walking (brain)dead PC police.

Jon Connington who's fate was partially Jorahs in the show is fiercely loyal to Prince Aemon because he's armed with the knowledge that Maester Aemon and Prince Rhaegar had deduced The Prince that was Promised was not Rhaegar but his son.

Prince Aemon is a red herring to get Dany across the Sea in the books. Jon is the Azor Ahai.

Dany and Arya still contend for spot of Nyssa-Nyssa.

Dany will probably comfort a heartbroken king Jon. Paris will probably Martin when he kills Arya to have Jon forge Lightbringer.
