Spoiler*

Just got out of it. I thought the movie was seriously way too over the top and yes i do expect some of this with this franchise, but the other ones were better imo except tokyo drift, which was complete crap. The cars parachuting out the plane was cool, but when statham and vin decide to play chicken and wreck the cars not once but twice was freaking retarded and i literally laughed.

The tribute at the end was well done though.

Word.

People saying this was the best one are out of their minds. 5 and 6 are easily better.

Some of the scenes were terribly awesome though

It was bad . The helicopter scene with the drone was stupid , and the dialogue was terrible .

Paul walker at the end was the best part.

RIP

Saw it last night and thought it was great. I'll have to watch it again when it's out on dvd, but it's the best in the series imo.
It was way over the top, but you know that going in. Just a fun action movie and a great close to one of my favorite franchises. Including Statham, Russell, Rousey, and Djimon made it feel bigger than ever and they certainly didn't disappoint.

Like many said, the Paul Walker tribute was nicely done and left me with a lump in my throat

The ending was somber, I liked it but liked the last movie better.

Spoiler :

The car jumping from building to building was stupid, but in a cool way. I liked that scene.

SPOILERS

The Rock drove an ambulance off an overpass into a drone. Also we saw Kurt Russell wear night vision aviators.

Most self-aware movie ever made.

I lost it when Johnson performed the Rock Bottom on Statham

Also, Russell wielding double pistols brought back memories of him in Tombstone.

It was definitely sad to see. I don't think they should make anymore of these though. The second lead is gone.

Chances are they will give it at least one more before deciding whether to walk away

If you can't enjoy these movies and appreciate what they did for PW then I feel sorry for you.

I think the whole series of these movies are terribly, awesome (big fan)... And this one was no different.. well maybe a little more over the top...

I thought the tribute at the end was cringeworthy, but it was done with obviously good intent, so thats fine...

Saw it yesterday. Might be the worst movie I've seen in recent memory. Great action scenes, but I could not even remotely force myself to care about anything going on. The Rock's character was the most cliche, horrible character I've ever seen. The race-starter girl in the beginning was indeed beyond ridiculous. Ending was nice. The wife had tears, and she NEVER cries during movies. I cry three times EVERY time I watch Good Will Hunting, but I am constantly telling her she has no heart when she doesn't cry in some movies. That ending got her finally.

That was a perfect ending to the franchise. I really hope they don't make an 8 or 9 even though they have plans to. That tribute was a tearjerker

The send off for Paul Walker was well done, but sorry 1, 4 and especially 5 and 6 were better movies IMO.

I agree it wasn't that good. If not for Paul walker dying and the send off for him, this would be a bomb imo.

Too much over the top stunts, too many certain death car crashes they walked away from, Rousey was terrible, not enough Rock.
