After all these years Ive finally started watching. Ive just finished season 2 and it has been awesome. Would y'all say the early episodes were better or did it get better each season?

Season 4 is epic. Season 5 has some of the best episodes in the series. Enjoy.

Some scenes in seasons 4 and 5 are the best thing ever to be put on TV.

It's the greatest artistic achievement in human history and that's understating it.

Except for maybe the Wire.

Season 4 and 5 are amazing...

Id say the last 3 episodes of the series may be the best run of episodes in any series, ever.

Most people feel season 4 is the best, but my favorite was 5b.

Season 5a was weaker than 4 and 5b.

What I'm amazed by is how quickly things moved in the latter seasons... Every time they do a marathon, I watch and think to myself "shite, there is so much that has to take place and theres only X episodes left"

Gilligan didn't have the whole story mapped out to start. That usually results in some missteps and poor seasons like you see w/ series like Walking Dead, Justified, etc. They get off course and don't know how to end the show. Amazingly, that never happens w/ Breaking Bad. The show always moves forward and keeps developing characters and bringing in new great ones. Its one of the greatest if not the greatest rides on t.v.

The consensus ranking of the seasons is probably:
4
5
3
2
1
You're just getting started. Enjoy it.

That's because it WAS mapped out to a degree.

I'm sure he winged a good bit, but unlike those other showed meationed, he had an eye on the endpoint from the start.

I'd say my favorite characters are Mike and Saul goodman.

Especially when Jesse sees Saul in the commercial and tells Walt that's who they need as a lawyer

These kinds of posts are what trigger the "I don't get the hype" posts. This is just a ridiculous claim.

It is maybe the greatest artistic achievement you could take in from your couch.
