Oxy. She clearly tells nick that there is a limited supply. She got it to help ween him off the drugs he was on since he is starting to crash

Which makes no sense unless things are completely different out in California. A school can not handle Oxy or drugs on that level. Even if a student has a prescription, their parent would have to bring it to them or keep them at home until they were no longer taking that strong of a prescription. It just doesn't make any sense that the school would have it in their medicine cabinet.

If there is one thing the walking dead creators have mastered it is not making real world sense. You have to completely shut your brain down when watching.

Examples:
Guns and shooting
Gasoline
Sound effects
Peripheral Vision
School pharmacies

You're arguing that it's unrealistic for a school to stock Oxy in a show about zombies

It was confiscated from students and the cops were too busy to come by and pick it up.

i like it as a change of pace. so many real world factors we either don't think about or decide not to think about in the original bc we've basically boiled it down to survival, decision making, and badassery.

but the real life factors like probably 99% of old people are gone, i'm talking mostly about like nursing home level old people.

how many children are left all around the world? what's best case scenario if the rest of the world is like Georgia? 80% dead or turned? how many parents had to watch their children's nightmares come alive and take them? how many babies were smothered for the greater good of a group bc it wouldn't stop crying? how many people simply starved to death? how many suicides were there? you know, once they knew things would never be the same and all help and hope were gone?

those are the kinds of things that we have to put away and not think about while we enjoy daryl brooding or carol gettin shite done.

not saying i want the new show to explore this completely bc the real world is horrific enough and we need a fun zombie drama in which to escape, but all that stuff is kind of the implied exposition that led to where rick and gang are and where this show in the future should carefully tread.

Yeah. It was fairly obvious to me that those pills were ones that had been confiscated from students by the school's on-site police officer.

Since the cabinet was labeled "Evidence" and the pills were all in evidence collection bags.

None if they were smart, it would turn quick as have those who were simply strangled in the za.

Point is, when it came back it would make even more noise.

which leads to the better question: how many baby zombie 2 yr olds could you take at once?

If the point is to not make noise..on baby-smothering, killing something that will return to life and make more noise is a little ironic,..dontcha think?

Haven't watched the original in about 2 years. Forgot to watch one Sunday and just never started again. May have to give this one a shot. Didn't realize it was in until AMC was doing a little 2 episode marathonm

No DVR, Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu?

Do you even have an HD TV?
