What's it about? I watched several season of the dead but dropped off

It's about the beginning of the apocalypse. It takes place when Rick is in his coma. But it's set in LA instead of Atlanta.
The first episode was slow but that's to be expected since the infection is just spreading.
The second episode w as definitely better and episode three looks like shite is starting to hit the fan

I didn't know that it was set before, I love The Walkig Dead Series...I watch the whole series over when there is a season break so I've watched the series about 4 times now

It is slower than TWD, but it's doing a good job of showing a world descending into chaos. In the walking dead the Coma acted as a segue and we didn't see any of the riots and the break down of society like we see in Fear.

I remember watching the walking dead pilot premiere. Starts off like night of the living dead with the long shot of a car driving up and the teaser ends with blowing a little girls brains out in hopeless solitude.
I was glad amc set a serious tone with it. With fear, it's slower and if you didn't know what world you were in or about to be in, the pilots really don't compare. I'll keep watching the show because I am interested and liked the 2nd episode better.

It seems like the makers of the Walking Dead wished they could start over with a bigger budget and better actors so... They made their wish come true in Fear the Walking Dead.

Very debatable. I like the fat kid alot though. The heroin addict is as bad Rick if not worse. The mom I already hate more than his wife. The step-dad is passable. The daughter is attractive, but a not a good actor either.

Only problem is the annoying family dynamic. If I was the dad/stepdad...i would be telling my kids to shut the frick up...people are getting eaten...ger your arse home...etc. Instead, dad/mom barely say anything to kids...annoying.

Terrible picture of her, but I agree. It helps that her character is a slutbag
