I don't think it's been established that dogs can catch the disease.

I'm on the fence about this show. I only watch it because there's no other shows that I like on Sunday. I find myself caring less and less about the characters. The only guy that I actually like is the Mexican dad.

This. I guarantee at some part (or multiple parts) in the next TWD season we'll get the, "I want to live.. not just survive" talk that they recycle over and over.

There were some really annoying parts in the show last night.

Forgetting the shells? Really?

The military just magically showing up? Like oh you couldn't hear the helicopters and tanks storming your neighborhood?

And the fact that mexi/indian dad still won't treat walkers as dangerous? WTF was he thinking that dude was going to do after he ATE HIS DOG? "Hey come give me a hug?"

This show isn't that great, it could have been awesome but alas, its the only show on Sundays to watch.

Do you even watch the walking dead bro? Hershel was like that for an entire season before the barn incident. He thought they could be turned back in to regular people.

in a world like this, as long as there is no established law and order, the worst kind of people are always going to commit murder, robbery, assault etc. The worst kind of people are going to have power and abuse it. Just like the old west was. Until that law and order is established it will be the same old thing....rinse and repeat. The comic books for TWD reflect that.

Was he like that with all of them or just his family?

He was a doctor too.

But yea, its ridiculous, I guess I get a lot of people might not be nails hard and be ready to just shoot them, but the fact that he was trying to hug the dude was a bit much.

Also, anyone else notice how no one is getting bitten compared to TWD? There's been like 4-5 super close encounters that everyone has managed to escape unscathed. In the case of TWD, you were def. getting bitten. Especially if black.

Yeah, that dad guy thinks the walkers are just sick and can be cured. He says so when the blonde was going to take the hammer to the neighbor lady walker's head. She learned a lesson there that walkers need to be "cleared" and not left for other people to encounter. The dad just isn't coming to grasp with what is going on. Of course, it is believable that he would be in denial. We viewers know what is going on so we are in survival mode. He just thinks walkers are sick and can still be talked to, etc. If I came across my neighbor eating a dog, though, I am not going to try to reason with him. I don't think my first reaction would be to kill him, but I sure as heck ain't going near the guy. I think the blonde, the hardcore guy from El Salvador, and Jonny Depp have begun to understand what is going on.

There were maybe 3-4 walkers that were his "family". The rest were neighbors, people he knew, and the little girl.

He was a Veterinarian, not a people doctor.

I can sort of understand. It's all new, chaotic, and they really don't know what the frick was going on. But the old man didn't play around.

Well 2 episodes in, they already killed off two black characters.......Give them some credit. That's a high percentage considering there are only 6 episodes.

I still kind of dig the show. Of course there are going to be people in denial. This is a world where nobody had ever heard of a zombie. As for the dad, this is fricking California, almost everyone is a gun hating lib. I'm surprised we have the mom, son, and the El Salvador guy who are starting to figure out that its time to kill them all.

Plus, the asian lady wasn't decomposed or anything. At this point, the dad's opinion that she might be alive and can be saved isn't THAT crazy.

While Jonny Depp does some annoying shite and is selfish, he's at least figured out how screwed everyone is and has gone into survival mode.

I like the mom, hot daughter, and the El Salvadorians. I agree that one of the 3 main parents is going to get the bite, probably the Mexican mom.

They are both taking extreme positions. It's still so early on and not even the authorities know 100% what is going on (they're still worried about blood while in Rick's world they took to smearing zombie guts all over themselves).

So I think it was a little extreme for the blond to be going all hammer time on Susan since her threat to them was kind of contained. Maybe put a sign on the door for Susan's hubby. ( Speaking of him, how could he be so oblivious. To what was going on?)

On the other hand, yeah, it's pretty fear that Travis is going to. End up getting people killed with his pacifist ways.

well the old el savadorian lady is going to die soon. She's going to croak from her foot issue. That will likely be on the last episode.

Did anybody else notice she dressed for the trip to the desert (which who knows how long they will be out there) in tight, tight daisy dukes and skimpy dress wear? I noticed the blonde mom looking at her and kind of shaking her head. Wasn't sure if it was because she had her headphones in and was completely oblivious to everything around her or if it was because her "survival wear" was all skin.

If this ever happened the Libs in Cali would all be zombies and the rednecks from the South would all be in 4 X 4's having a hell of a time zombie hunting.

The last time I was watching the walking dead was when they were going to Terminus. Man, that season was hectic as Hell.
