If you've seen the short film it is based on the concept and the graphics should make it a much see nostalgic type film and both parents and kids will like it. Based on previews my kid has already asked to go see it.

The acting will make or break it, but with Kevin James, he tends to neutralize Sandler a little bit and I think it will make it worth watching.

I have a feeling this one will be better than VACATION which is looking more like a We're the Millers type movie.

Looks like a whole movie based on the Futurama episode.

First thing I thought. Little Lucas actually wants to go see this shite. I'm trying to convince him we can just stay home and watch Bender do it a million times better than Sandler will.

I'm going to watch that movie for one reason and one reason alone.

While dinklage and gad are pretty awesome if the writing sucks then it's all for nothing.

i expect it to be a 80's reference fest (not that that's bad) and hopefully fun ride. but i'm sure you can leave your brain at the door. i'll catch it at some point not in theatres although they're really trying to push seeing it in IMAX.

I can't believe this movie is just coming out now. They advertised like crazy during the NBA playoffs with those Anthony Davis commercials. Those started like 3 months ago. I don't know if it is a good sign or a bad sign that they paid for so much advertising for so long. I did also notice that Inside Out advertised everywhere and that was really good.

I think it could actually be decent if Peter Dinklage has a lot of screen time.

Don't understimate the Dink

This is the main reason we are going see this movie. I absolutely LOVE Peter Dinklage. He has awesome comedic timing.

After 19 reviews Pixels is sitting at a whopping 16% on Rotten Tomatoes.

"A middle finger aimed right at the audience."

I bet sandler plays a bad arse that can beat pretty much anyone up and there probably will be some hilarious fat jokes Kevin James makes about himself.

Sums up Sandler's career. He's one of the most cynical guys in Hollywood. He knows he makes shite and expects you to see it anyway. Don't believe the spiel that he's just a nice guy having fun with his friends - he literally thinks you're stupid.

Unfortunately, Billy Mitchell does the best Billy Mitchell parody. I have a gut feeling that Billy Mitchell can't be acted.

Deadspin Review

Shockingly, Will Leitch hated it and calls it Sandler's laziest movie yet. That is saying something.

I've been looking forward to it, actually. My son and I are going to see it Friday. Looks like it will be a fun movie, and "the dink" is always entertaining. I lost hundreds of dollars in quarters playing those 8-bit games in arcades everywhere, so I'm excited to see them come to life on the big screen now.

Yeah, shocking Sandler can frick up a movie with as good of a concept as this.

I want to get a bet going on here. Anyone who is going, please count and tell us how many times Kevin James falls down. I'm putting the over/under at 8.

I'll say over.

I had no clue Chris Columbus directed this until today. Columbus isn't Scorsese, but he can at least tell a coherent story with interesting characters. Not even he could do anything with this cash-grab piece of shite.
