The Flash was very hard to watch for me, and I quickly lost interest. Honestly, I'm not a fan of some of the cross over stuff they did in this last season of Arrow.

When all was said and done, I actually liked the 1st season of Flash just as much, if not more than season 2 of Arrow. It started out slow, but that is expected in order to set up character development. It still wasn't near has bad as the 1st half of season 1 of Agents of Shield.

For me, Arrow needs to step it up next year. They were off their game for season 3 IMO (I chalk that up to focusing all their attention on the Flash). They've painted themself in a corner with the Oliver/Felicity relationship, and they need to rectify that ASAP, and almost ruined her character last season (like they did with Laurel's in season 2). But I have faith that they'll get back on track next season.

Thanks for all the input guys. I'm going to try and slog through the first season of Arrow. Someone said it's similar to how Agents of Shield started off, and that is now one of my favorite shows so I'll ignore the growing pains of Arrow.

I just can't wait for Queen to loosen up and be who he's supposed to be.

I stopped watching Arrow midway this last season. Haven't even thought about it since. They ruined everything with the Ra's story line. Pretty ironic since everyone, including me, was hyped he was on the show.

I have Flash on my DVR, I'll probably start it soon.

I think that this Oliver/Felicity crap will continue on for awhile because they made it such a big deal. I mean they were riding off into the sunset in the end and like half the viewers are those "Olicity" fans. But besides that I hope at least the rest of the show can be good since they have now established the Flash.

They need a way to end that relationship amicably but permanently.

I've never done something like that before. I am disappointed in myself.

If they don't that would make Laurel kinda useless.

They had the perfect chance to send her off with Ray at the end of this season, but they didn't do it. Now I don't think it's possible to end their relationship "amicably", unless they just kill her off (which I definitely don't see happening.)

There would be no Flash without The Arrow.

Side note: Season 3 of Arrow was just fricking terrible.

The time travel aspects of the Flash piss me off. The season finale was entirely nonsensical.

Also, the way they handled the Dr. Wells/Reverse flash mystery was dumb. They reveal the secret in episode 1, but its not really Wells because future dude kills him and steals his body.

Overall though, season 1 of the Flash was better than Arrow Season 3. Arrow this season was a black hole of bad writing.

Not really saying much though I felt the season got worse and worse as it went on, then just fell on its face with the finale like you pointed out

I don't want to sound like I hated the Flash because it's a lot of fun with some entertaining characters. The season finale of the first season of Arrow was some of the best TV I've ever seen, but as a whole, season 1 was hit or miss in a lot of areas.

I did feel that Season 1 of the Flash was more entertaining, but that's largely because the writers had more of an idea of where they are going to take this show as opposed to the first Arrow episodes which felt like Smallville 2.0.

Finished up S3 of Arrow last night. This show definitely grew on me. I'm attached to the characters now.

Going back through your comments and I don't get the disdain for S3. Maybe it plays better in binge mode? I thought it was the best one so far. It started off weak as hell but really picked up and got strong at the end.

Laurel needs to die, though. Really wish it had been her instead of (blank). frick I hate Laurel.

At this point I don't even care how they end it. Just end it
