I definitely wouldn't mind a peak into Missy's TARDIS.

I thought Donna just had her Doctor memories erased and is otherwise living comfortably?

She did. And she married a nice guy and 10 gave her a lottery ticket as her wedding gift. Being that he's a time traveler, I assume he bought a winning one.

She thrived on seeing all of time and space. She grew and became wise and saved the universe/world many times over. She and the doctor were great together. And then it was all wiped from memory as she went back to her old life. She was actually a companion of the doctor, and doesn't even know it. I always found her ending to be among the most tragic for companions.

Would not surprise me based on that ending.

I liked Donna a lot. Martha was good. Hate Rose. Love Clara and Pond.

Agree with all. Really hate Rose, but otherwise new who companions have been anywhere from good to great. I used to dislike Clara. But I think she works with 12 a lot better than 11 and has improved.

Pfffft. Been there done that. There was a little LSU helmet at a diner in The Impossible Astronaut back in season 6.

Good episode. Spoilers:

I wish they had not explicitly shown when Clara was replaced. That would have left some fun speculation as to when in this episode, or when in prior episodes it happened.

I thought the osgood explanation was very well done. I hope we don't find out anytime soon whether she is human or not. I'm not opposed to her being a companion for awhile.

The zygon invasion is a nice continuation of the day of the doctor, which I loved, although I felt the ending was a bit weak due to the dropped zygon thread. It turns out that was a great setup for these episodes.

The terrorist analogies were a bit on the nose, but still interesting.

Where is Kate's double from day of the doctor?

How was she too stupid to realize that sheriff was a zygon?

Clara does a pretty good villain. I hope we see more of that.

End spoilers.

SPOILERS

- 1. Oswin 2. Evil Clara with Stinger 3. Cold War Clara

- The cuts in this episode weren't very good.

- This season has turned Kate Stewart into a moron.

- Was there really a need to create 'Turmezistan'?

- Apparently the best peace treaty ever could be broken by one person getting mugged?

- Otherwise, good episode. The paranoia line was awesome.

Question mark underpants- it makes you wonder what the question is.

- more hybrids. That seems to be the theme of the season

They certainly have. However, after a rewatch I'd be willing to bet that she got the best of that zygon. Her attack happened off camera. I bet she goes back in the guise of a zygon and helps save the day.

Just watched. Solid episode. Evil Clara might have made my pants a little tighter. That is all.

Early buzz is that the zygon inversion is the best of the season so far, and one of the best in years. They say this will be what people think about in the future when they think about how great 12 was. Can't wait!

Both Capaldi and Moffat have come out rubbishing the Mirror's rumours about a short season 10.

quote:

“We’re making a full series. I can confirm that. I’m making a full series of 12 episodes, plus a Christmas special. I don’t know when it goes out. That’s up to someone else. And even if I did know – which I genuinely don’t – I wouldn’t be allowed to say so as I have absolutely no say in it whatsoever. [But] it’s not being reduced in size. We’re not making fewer episodes. That’s all complete bunk. I can confirm that absolutely.”

SPOILERS

- PETER frickING CAPALDI

- Jenna Coleman was also great. You could tell that she enjoyed being the bad guy

- Bunch of references to old episodes

- Monty Python reference

- Definitely the best of the season so far...and I've really liked this season

- They somewhat redeemed Stewart with the 'Five rounds rapid' comment

- They're really laying the Clara foreshadowing on thick

- Still some poor cuts

Peter Capaldi!!!!!!

I had to watch the speech twice in a row. It encapsulated the doctor and his history so perfectly. Listen is still probably my favorite Capaldi episode, but this was definitely his most memorable moment. I love his dripping sarcasm, forceful condescension, while maintaining compassion and fostering forgiveness.

This is toothpaste.

Five rounds rapid... And they worked

The foreshadowing of Clara is killing me. At this point she really has to leave by death, or this has been a lot of pointless setup.

All of this talk about breaking the cycle of violence is good and well until your enemy is an actual monster, a dalek, or a any number of power hungry or fanatical foes. Still, it was nice to see him break through to Bonnie. Coleman did a phenomenal job here, as one would expect her to play evil Clara, but she was so much more. 12 knew he was getting through, and so did we.

I hope next week has some genuine creepiness or scares. It looks like it has potential.

With each episode we get closer to the return of River! I'm anxious to see her interact with this doctor.
