Still not completely sold on the real/fake issue. I'm definitely leaning towards him being fake.

As far as the Laguerda issue, I think she called Matthews. Not sure where they could go with that storyline tho.

Any thoughts on how this season is going to play out? I feel like this show does a pretty good job of really twisting the end and I cant for the life of me figure out how this season will end.

Probably the most dissappointing season of Dexter.

Er, uh, you do realize that was in Dexter's head, right? Just like his brother and his father are not real but just different aspects of his personality. Excuse me if I'm beind condescending.

I'm pretty sure that was his point.

I'm kinda sad it's reached a point where Travis has turned into Ed Norton's Tyler Durden, and Gellar is Brad Pitt's Tyler Durden.

in which case the writers are not really taking "artistic license" with physical things. some of the physical things are imaginary, hence no need to take license with their physical reality or capability. just saying.

I’d be perplexed. I’d like to know how to hit someone with a shovel in the face and they don’t get marked up. That skill could come in handy!

It's at the point now where they're making it so obvious that Gellar is fake that I'm wondering if the writers aren't pulling a bait and switch and the actual shocker will be that Gellar is real.

I'm still siding with Gellar is not real.

As Dexter gets more closely involved with Travis, all my theories continue to get thrown out the window. I really have no clue anymore but I will say this.

Dexter is being a huge dick to his sister and I'm actually pitying her now. Something big is building up there. I hope Deb finds out about Dexter this season but with two more seasons to go, I doubt it happens this year.

Hopefully the La Guerta coverup will be the end of her. She's everything I hate about how a lot of women work in this world. Hopefully she gets angel winged and spike-collared.

Splitting on her for 5 days was kind of a dick move, but otherwise, I don't think so. Deb's always dumping her problems on him, feels guilty about it, and complains that he doesn't reciprocate. Then when he tells her he can't see her that night, she's so anxious to feel better about herself, she shows up unannounced at his place to send his babysitter home and cook dinner for him, making him reject her all over again so he can go out killin' with the boys like he planned. Deb tries to force things way too much.

I believe that the writers want us to THINK that Gellar is fake.

Completely disagree. This is a message board where a little more serious followers of the show converge to talk about it with other strangers on the internet. I would bet that 90% of casual, "normal" Dexter viewers haven't even THOUGHT about Gellar not being real. Hell if I didn't read this message board I wouldn't either. Of course, after reading these threads yeah there is evidence he's fake, but if I wasn't specifically looking forward to it I would have no reason to think he wasn't real.

If it is revealed that he is in fact fake, while this board will all say "big deal? Told ya so, we knew it the whole time" I bet every other Dexter fan I know will say "holy shite I never saw that coming!"

I talked to someone the other day who I just met randomly. He has kept up this entire season, and had no inkling that Geller might be dead. He actually stood there with his mouth open for almost 2 minutes thinking about it.. and then said.. "woow! I think you're right... WOW..."... "he ONLY talks to Travis.. I didn't even think of that..."

So yes.. I think this will catch some fans off guard. ...however... I have a friend who point black asked me the other day "soo Gellar.. you think he's....?" "Dead?.. yeah!"

So I think some fans have caught on.. while others are still in the dark.

I have two questions going back to the beginning of this season that keep bugging me.

1.) What about Astor and Cody? Have they even mentioned them, even once this season? Or are we to just 'be glad they're not Dexter's problem anymore'...?

2.) Wasn't Quinn basically on the hunt for and/or totally suspicious of Dexter at the end of last season? And it seems like this season just starts off with Quinn trying to be buddies with Dexter so he can get permission to propose or something. Did I miss something in the transition there?

Spoiler

In the previews for next week, it showed a mural of 3 people pouring blood on a fourth. At the end of the preview it shows Dexter covered in blood and some dripping on his shoulder. Could it be Travis tricked him into where Gellar was and plans on Dexter being the next victim? Dexter's facial expressions appear he is pissed and surprised all in one.

This is a good point. I guess I'm just thinking with how prevelant message boards are for fans of shows like this, I figured most were aware of the Gellar situation but you guys could be right.

Whatever the writers intentions, they've got me guessing which is how I want to be with Dexter.

Be glad they're not Dexters problem. I think he pretty much closed that chapter of drama with them last season. Now I would assume his and Harrisons visits with them is probably off camera.

Dexter saved his arse at the end of last season, and then he was in a "truce" with Dexter while dating Deb. Now Quinn's so wrapped up in his downward spiral, it makes sense that he's not paying attention to Dexter anymore.
