re: Game campaigns you have played multiple times - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 10/19/17 at 7:38 am
DoUrden: Dark Souls Just do it. Its far deeper and far more rewarding than just about any game experience I've had. I grew up with Zork and King's Quest. Loved Quake, Half-Life, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. I've played the original Witcher before Witcher 2 was a thing and loved it...

re: The goal of the progressive left... - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 9/6/17 at 9:45 am
Is it to drag people in the middle class to lower rungs of the social ladder?
This is not their intended goal, at least not consciously, so far as I can tell. However, there is no means for the progressive socialist/fascist/communist to achieve the equality of results they seek...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Frodo at the end of ROTK - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 2/27/17 at 6:17 pm
But I guess you could say he was the original bearer of the ring.
True, true. I would go so far as to say that he was the ring. Or that the ring, was him...as well as the fact that through the creation of the Ring he was now tied directly in power to all of the other rings of pow...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Frodo at the end of ROTK - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 2/27/17 at 5:18 pm
Frodo needed to go
I'm completely going off of memory, so it could be. I just always felt like it was more of an honor, or an invitation for friendship and healing than a true necessity. Something you would extend to royalty, per se. And that was kind of the thing...all these 'g...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Frodo at the end of ROTK - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 2/27/17 at 12:27 pm
So why did Frodo have to go to the Undying Lands at the end?
He didnt 'have' to. Frodo and Bilbo were both bearers of the One Ring. (Effectively making them greater than Galadriel, Elrond, Gandalf, Sauron, Saruman, or anyone in Middle Earth.) They each largely remained true a...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (5)
re: Could a movie based on Tolkien's city of Gondolin be doable? - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 12/26/16 at 2:40 pm
Im glad Jackson got involved with LOTR and created some moments and some film that was truly epic and amazing. However, i choose to forget that the Hobbit films even exist. Now that thats out of the way...ive always felt the Akallabeth (sp) would be the way to go for a film moving backwards into...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: Play calling was not the reason we lost to Wisconsin - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 9/9/16 at 9:30 am
Hell, if #64 doesn't slow LF7 down by cutting in front of him AND THE HOLE to block someone on the outside instead of hitting that guy who made the tackle untouched... But yeah, you're right, 64 and 84 both missed a chance to plaster the guy coming through untouched; one step and he's pas...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: The Harris to Dupre Connection - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 9/8/16 at 2:53 pm
For me, I was reminded of the two kids on a basketball team who will only pass the ball to each other no matter what...sometimes it works and looks amazing...but usually they just end up looking dumb trying to force a play where there simply isn't one......Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: If a coaching change is made, what type of offense would you like to see? - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 9/5/16 at 5:09 pm
Was it the Wisconsin coach being interviewed (I dont remember who said it) but he was asked about his shorter backs covering LSU's taller more athletic receivers....and his response was, yeah they're taller but they don't really play taller...my guys can cover them fine. I don't know...just anothe...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Why exactly does poverty breed crime? - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 5/11/16 at 8:56 am
crime becomes normalized
Not normalized...revered, in many ways. The temptations of money, sex, power, and status are all flaunted by criminals as justification for their actions, recruiting of others, etc. It can appear very appealing to a young poor person. Much much more so t...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Obama to Force Gender Fluidity Education in K- 12 - Ye_Olde_Tiger on 5/7/16 at 10:08 am
I mean, how can the party that claims to be pro-science be so blinded
They have never really been pro-science for the sake of science, but pro-science when it fits their agenda....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
