The scene where Bruce meets Flash reminded me of Stark talking to Peter Parker in his room in Civil War. I guess they saw audiences liked the way Marvel handled that relationship and decided to copy it.
Except for the JL scene being 100% scripted, Barry jumping at the chance instead of trying desperately to get out of it, and Bruce not knowing what Barry was or what powers he possessed.
My guess is that Bruce had deduced that Barry was either a speedster, teleporter, or could manipulate time. After seeing him in action, he realized what Barry was doing.

I know you're joking BUT just in case you aren't, you know there isn't going to be an invisible jet in this WW movie.
Basically jets weren't invented yet.
So WW was created by Zeus and has a magic lasso and helps fight WW1, but having an invisible jet is too much a stretch?

I'd love to "see" an invisible biplane.
Though I'm not going to be the guy to yank on that invisible propeller to hand start that thing.

I'm accepting all comparisons to the Seven Samurai and none to Marvel.

The way Parker looks up to Stark as this hero is kinda the same way Flash reacted to Bruce when he found out he was Batman. That scene just had the same tone.

I've been looking at the official photo of the JL and I noticed that Superman looks much happier and at ease than he has in past Snyder films. This makes me VERY happy.

well DC decided to fix their comics line by injesting the heritage back into them and not taking themselves ultra seriously like Snyder's films. most of their new titles have all sold out and gone on to more printings. think they are finally getting the hint now.

Not only that, but maybe now he can actually be happy when he saves people, not all sad and depressed. Superman should save people with a smile on his face, whether half the world hates him or not.

The hate arc is over. The self sacrifice and resurrection will change everyone tune

Rolling Stone just released a lengthy, but good article with Jared Leto.

quote:
Leto had his moments of doubt about taking up Ledger's mantle, but was buoyed by the fact that the character had already existed in multiple incarnations before him, from the original comic books to Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson to Mark Hamill's cartoon voice-overs. "I think had it only been portrayed by Heath and it was never a comic book, maybe I would have felt that would be inappropriate," Leto says. "But I thought that given the history, it was OK. The good thing about other people having done this is that you know what direction not to head in."
Predictably, Leto's process got weird fast. He started watching footage of actual violent crimes on YouTube, until he had to stop himself. "The Joker is incredibly comfortable with acts of violence," says Leto. "I was watching real violence, consuming that. There's a lot you can learn from seeing it. Not every act of violence is committed with frenzy, either. I remember learning that. People can be calm. They've made their choice and go and do something, and it's not in a frenzy." His eyes have gone cold. "It's methodical and sometimes even hypnotic and deliberate."
The Joker was a popular presence on the Suicide Squad set, borderline harassment and all — people would applaud when he showed up. Leto was constantly improvising. "The Joker became entertainment for a lot of the crew," he says. "So I think we all kind of bonded, even though I was in this place." He got along particularly well with rapper-actor Common, who has a small henchman role in the film. "He was not afraid of being all up in my face looking like he's ready to kiss me," says Common. "You could feel the danger, you could feel the sexuality, the craziness, but there was something still cool about him."

Justice League Footage
there was more comedy in that trailer than the entirety of Dawn of Justice.... consider me, a bit more optimistic

He's listed right after Captain Boomerang, so hopefully it's a flashback to a fight between the two.
