I've seen a lot of positives, but from people who aren't critics. (similar to BvS) The tweet from Kris Tapley is concerning because he's very plugged in the industry working for Variety.

It's interesting because I've seen Ayer write some pretty good dialogue, and some pretty bad dialogue. Fury, End of Watch, and Training Day were all great. Then he has some turkeys like Sabotage, Harsh Times, and Dark Blue. Those movies IMO were some pretty TERRIBLE dialogue. Like some of the worst. I was worried from the beginning which Ayer would show up to the party on SS. Maybe now we know...

It looks like WB may have come in and changed things just like BvS.

I've had faith since day 1, but those clips they released last week is when I started thinking this could be bad.

All right RLDSC, let's stay strong on this one. Let's try to keep the faith and hang in there. There's still hope.

.

Both director cuts this year are going to be better than original release

@markhughesfilms @Forbes What's the buzz so far Mark? From people who have seen it?

Mark Hughes ?@markhughesfilms 1h1 hour ago Grosse Pointe Woods, MI @Pratikbharadwa I'm not talking publicly a/b specific reactions in general, as it violates embargo & NDAs, but buzz is generally great.
Maybe there's hope?

ETA: Also, Faraci has been pretty mum about Suicide Squad. Which is interesting considering how vocal he was around this time before BvS was released. Maybe he's hearing good things and doesn't want to deal with DC fanatics? Probably nothing, but worth mentioning maybe.

Has Jett from BOF said anything yet? He's usually very objective with his reviews.

Nobody with any credibility has said anything definitive. With the embargo still in place, they won't till Tuesday. It's going to be awhile, so hold on to your butts.

The trailers have recently made it look like Will Smith is the star of the show. I wonder if early screenings had strongly positive reaction to him and WB decided to double down on Will Smith.

It would make sense. WB has to be scared of this crashing and Will Smith is still viewed as a bankable star. They could be trying to protect themselves as much as possible.

I hope not, his parts have not looked good.

They aren't nearly as involved in the animated movies as they are with live-action.
