Yeah, as soon as I saw it posted, I felt like an idiot for leaving it off.

John Candy and robin Williams. I will watch their bad movies only because i get tired of watching their good ones all the time. Chris Farley was ok but not in the same league as these two.

John Candy has a way better portfolio but I have laughed harder at Chris Farley's moments.

Nobody with that many demons and Darkness go a whole career without tapping into it and giving the performance of a lifetime. Some filmmaker could have gotten it of him
.

Can we retire this worn out trope, "every comedian is a tortured genius"? No, they're not. You know why a lot of comedians and musicians kill themselves with booze and drugs? Because they're frickups. Funny or talented, but frickups. Actors and musicians perpetuate this myth because it makes them sound more profound than they actually are.

I loved Tommy Boy, but stop with the "he had demons" bullshite. He was a fat kid who made people laugh. He didn't go through the Holocaust or witness his platoon get slaughtered in front of him. He was a funny kid who liked drugs. That's it.

It's Candy, and it isn't close. His comedic chops and heart are unparalleled. Planes, Trains, & Automobiles, Uncle Buck, Stripes, and Cool Runnings are classics.

May he continue to Rest In Peace.

I also loved the few scenes that he had with Tom Hanks in the movie "Splash".
