^^ if you have a few minutes to kill that is full interview with Rick James. shite had me rolling the other day. It is crazy that those stories, obviously distorted over time, are true.

The Prince sketch set me off down a Chappelle Show bender today. It holds up great.

its pretty rare for a show to looked at as unanimously funny across all ages and races

Chapelle takes John Mayer throughout New York in places where white people hang out and has John play the guitar, where white people freak out.

And the black cop starts dancing too and Chapelle say "brother c'mon" and the black cop says "I'm from the suburbs". I loved that one two. The white office ladies stripping to the music...man that was funny.

Am I the only one who remembers the Player Haters Ball?

Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate!!!

What about when the Player Haters went back in time? Chappelle just played him shooting the slave owner on repeat. I was in high school during its prime. The entire day after a new episode was just constant quoting.

I also like that Chappelle's show had that skit about Gangs being featured on the History channel and then four years later History channel actually came out with that show

I thought he did an interview back then and said he tried to have Prince on that episode but there were scheduling issues, he did have Rick James on his Eddie Murphy story.

Even random skits like Tyrone Biggums fear factor and Make A Wish were brilliant and remain super quoteable. "NURSE SHOULDVE LEFT YOU DEAD BILLY!"

Yeah, I remember the day after that aired, the whole school was talking about Chapelle and how it may have been the funniest skit ever.

I think my favorite Chapelle Show sketch that hasn't been mentioned yet would have to be the Mad Real World

They missed Chapelle's monologue before hand which was great though.

quote:

You know every few seasons they put a black guy on there and make him look all crazy. And I think, "Of course he's going to go crazy. You put him with 6 of the craziest white people you could find and expect him to live a normal life." They wouldn't like it if we put one white guy with 6 of the craziest black people we could find, now would they?

Chapelle was fricking brilliant.
