check out this rumor I saw earlier about the post credit DoFP scene that leads into X:Apocalypse..
quote:
Erik Lehnsherr… in a ramshackle house in the desert eating dinner, clearly on the run from all the authorities who want to bring him down. While using a well outside to get some water, the young Magneto sees something fall from the night sky and crash to Earth nearby. Upon inspecting the impact zone, he encounters what is described as an “alien form” who is “towering, terrifying, with a twisted metal face and dark pits for eyes.” It’s Apocalypse and he says, “I have crossed rivers of time to find you.” Magneto asks, “Who are you?”
The alien responds, “I am your future.” Suddenly Apocalypse merges with Magneto, who screams and blasts an insane amount of energy and shockwaves around him. This energy explosion levels everything around him, with a blast radius that goes for miles. As Magneto looks at what he’s done, he has a realization of the power he now holds and a villainous grin begins to form before the film cuts to black.
Thankfully, I seriously doubt there's any validity to this at all.
That's is tragic if that's the case. If that's true, Singer's vision of the X-Universe is even more limited than I thought. It's like he's read one X-Men book, but is aware of every character out there.

Singer should not be directing an Xmen movie.
Have you guys forgotten how he killed off Jean Grey?
SHe had to physically walk out of the plane stand on the ground to hold the water back.
Apparently should couldn't do it from the plane loading pad...

I don't think comic nerds have a huge issue with Jackman being cast as Wolverine, but as a whole, he's relegated an esememble cast as background characters. Halle Berry (whom I dont think is a great actress, but regardless), James Marsden (miscast, but an underrated actor), Patrick Stewart , Rebecca Romijn, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Alan Cummings,Shawn Ashmore had no character arcs. The first two X movies which I enjoyed, were really "The Adventures of Wolverine"
I like Wolverine as character, he's great as solo act and he's great in the larger Marvel Universe. In X-Men he's best when he is sharing the limelight or in the background. Cyclops, Storm and Beast are all just as or more important X-Men than Logan.
X-Men is a team concept, the films should reflect that better.
This. If he wanted to make these films there were better books with content that reflected this kind of approach.

So if you are a comic book nerd, you hate his movies. Can't they just be good movies on their own without having to live up to fanboy expectations?
It's the same conflict some have with the Hobbit films, or any other adapted property when someone changes it significantly.
Marvel has done an excellent job keeping the spirit and team aspect of Avengers, while establishing a universe that pays homage to, rather than hacks up, the universe. All of the characters are good reflections of their comic book counterparts. And the movies are high quality.
So you can have both. But Singer while making a good first and great second film, has seemed to Nolan-ify the film and try to put too much of his own interpretation on the X-Universe. X3 wasn't his film, but it was his universe.
And do people realize that if they go down AoA, that's another "Jean and Wolverine," story. We're going to see that all over again. Which I'm assuming, is a reason they are doing it.

I hope who ever wrote this was immediately kicked off the team of writers.
I believe in AoA Magneto is actually who assembles the team of mutants that fights against Apocalypse, right? It's an alternate reality where Charles has been murdered, and Lehnsherr takes it upon himself to uphold his ideals, avenge him, etc. etc...

Singer updates Apocalypse cast details
Apparently it will star McAvoy and Fassbender as Professor X and the First Class group.

Sure they can. I liked First Class just as much as you illiterate pukes.
[troll]They are comic books. They have pictures with the words like books for Pre K[/troll]
I really liked First Class as well, I hope that they use time travel to reset from X3. Then make a bunch of movies with the First Class cast.
