On HBO right now. Made me start thinking about how you would spend 30 million in 30 days today. What would you spend it on?

Parties across the world. I would take an entourage with me. And there would probably be some hookers and blow along the way.

To make it equitable, you would have to spend $64.2 million in 30 days.

And end the 30 days with no assets

Probably tougher to do than one might think

With the rules the movie had in place I agree.

No assets as said

Could only gamble and give to charity like 2%,

He also had to get "Value" for his money. So no 100 grand hookers or crap investments..

I think it would be harder than people think

Too easy.
Step 1: Buy a large garage.
Step 2: Buy all rare cars and super cars possible.
For example, a McLaren F1 would run you over 6 million. The latest one sold for 6.9 million.
Step 3: Give away everything.

you've obviously never seen the movie - he can't end the month with any assets.

I've seen it, I just obviously forgot about that.

ETA: All you would have to do is give away the cars and garage once you're done.

Didn't he pay a designer to redo his penthouse. Walked in and had him completely redo it?

THIS is a movie ripe for a remake IMHO

but it would have to be done right.

As for how I'd spend the money, I'd have a week long part with an open bar and free food in NYC.

I don't think it would be that hard to spend the money, the hardest part would be ending it with nothing but the clothes on your back. Once you got to a few days left and had spent like 28 of your 30 million, your family and friends would all be like "snap out of it you stupid irrational idiot". If you kept trying to spend it all, on TOP of then giving away the assets you already have..I think that would be the hardest part.
