the sopranos took the easy way out in the finale and that pissed me off.
BB did the same thing
Sopranos finale was a freaking joke. BB had a satisfying finale but was hardly groundbreaking. Shield had the best finale I've ever seen.

Yeah, BB wanted to just end it in a satisfying, good-taste-in-your-mouth way.
Sounds like I need to watch The Shield

In the top 3 for me. I have Game of Thrones and The Wire ahead of it.
The Shield should not be in this conversation.

Wrong.

Agree somewhat. If anything, I would say it was groundbreaking because it was satisfying. Nothing to complain about. It concluded the story. Gave a tiny montage. There are no questions to ask. Most shows don't go that route.

Breaking Bad is the best Drama Series of All Time...Agree or Disagree
Wholeheartedly disagree, though this says it pretty well:

Yeah you do.
It's a different kind of cop show.

To me,at this moment,it is.I haven't seen The Wire,so,there's that.
The Sapranos crawls compared to the pace of Breaking Bad.
I'm very biased though because I watched it one episode at a time and lived for that hour on Sunday night and then the Thread here Monday morning.Good times.

I don't know about that - I binge watched all of The Sopranos in Iraq - it had down patches, sure, but most story arcs paced pretty well. There were always twists, turns, reverses, and people getting whacked, it seemed.
BB - I had a hybrid experience, I binge watched to catch up, then watched the last (I think 1 1/2 or 2 seasons, just don't recall) - in real time as they aired.
BB had just a couple of down patches, but really accelerated at the end - which may give the subjective impression it was gangbusters from wire-to-wire.
The Wire had entire seasons that paced slowly (2, 4, 5) - but it didn't matter, because it was so good.
The Shield, likewise, had a couple of slow spots here and there - but had the highest highs and the lowest lows (for my money) as well as the best Pilot/Finale combo of all of them.
(And - for those of you who haven't seen my take on this - Clark Johnson directed the pilot and finale of both The Wire and The Shield. For you Wire fans, he was the editor with integrity in Season 5, and for Shield fans, he had a cameo as the federal marshall who takes Corinne and family into the witness protection program, so he directed himself in both series. I nominate him as the GOAT television director, purely based on his work in those 4 episodes.)

I wouldn't say trash. I get that they were trying to be artsy and novel, and they succeeded in that. I think it was just a poor choice.
However, if it would have ended the same but without the POV and blackout would you have liked it?

It is my personal favorite.

Seasons 4-7 are on another level. Just as good as anything in BB, and the best tv acting I've ever seen.
1-3 are excellent but not quite as good. Although the first episode is legendary. It's supposed to feel a little gimmicky at first so that it can blow away your expectations.
